In summary

Saluda Valley Country Club is appreciated for its well-maintained fairways and greens, friendly staff, and enjoyable course layout, making it a popular choice for both casual rounds and tournaments. The club is noted for its good value, especially for seniors, and offers a relaxed atmosphere. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the condition of the greens, increased pricing, and slow pace of play, particularly during busy times or events.

Always enjoy playing Saluda Valley. The course stays in good shape and it’s a fun layout. Staff is friendly and the overall vibe is laid back, which makes it easy to just show up and enjoy the round. I play here a few times a month and only a handful of occasions is pace of play backed up. One of those courses you’re happy to come back to on a regular basis. Prices have went up quite a bit in the last couple of years, but seem to be going towards course improvements — including new carts.

Really hate leaving bad reviews but a course charging over $50 for a round, in the shape that saluda is in right now, is awful. Greens not being watered. The whole course is brown. The fairways have gas leak marks down the entire thing from mowers. Greens are not REMOTELY cut even. The current greenskeeper should be let go, and that’s as nicely as I can put it. Extremely let down by my experience this week.

The best value golf in Upstate SC! I’ve been playing here for years and they always make improvements to make the course the best in can be. Wide fairways, quick greens, and good times!

Course in great shape for company tournament. New GPS carts still needs some work, couldn't keep up with scores. Had to write down on scrap paper. Overall great experience, will play there again.

Really good golf course, I liked the in cart ball and club cleaner. There was a driving range that is facing right to hole 6 and 7 it felt like someone may hit us. Other than that it was really good. I paid around $20 for 9hole with cart.

If you can manage to get ahold of the pro shop to book a tee time, this course is a blast to play. Hate that they got rid of online booking.

The Palmetto Business Association held our golf tournament at Saluda Valley Country Club on 10/21/22. All I can say is it was an amazingly organized event! We had 28 teams if 4 players, everything ran seamless. This is a great course where everyone is very helpful!!

I have played Saluda Valley for years, and unfortunately, I believe their rates have increased too much for the condition of the course and golfing experience Saluda provides. The course was in about as rough of shape as I have seen (burnt/dead spots in greens, bare spots, rocks right off fairways). I was also very upset to find out the rates advertised on their website are not accurate ($45 for 18 after 2 PM on weekends). To pay $59 after 2 PM for what condition the course was in is crazy compared to other local courses. I still think Saulda can be a great public course in this area, but ther…

Played 18 on a Saturday. Did have a starter on 1, who let us go early! Nice course and easy holes with wide fairways. A lot of straight holes and dog-legs. Flat to small elevation changes for the up state. Greens and bunkers in great shape. Only giving 4 due to $58 round at public course and cart was in terrible shape. Would play again only on weekday or Twilight rates.

As part of my reviews of golf courses across the upstate, Saluda has to be one of my favorites. The good: Course is always in great shape, especially the fairways and greens. The layout is great for beginners and for those willing to make some risky shots. Course rates are fair. The bad: Very difficult to get prime tee times (Saturday's before say 10:00am) as they get scooped up or are reserved by members. Need to do some work on the cart paths. If you are someone who uses the range, it is irons only. The ugly: Closing stretch has some pretty bad holes, especially #16 and #17. The pace of p…

Saluda Valley Country Club is an unassuming course when you pull into the parking lot but don't let that fool you because it's a great course! The conditions were awesome (some of the best greens I've played all summer). The course layout has a few doglegs and a few forced carries over water but nothing unreasonable. If anything I would say this course is flatter than many of the hilly courses you find in the Greenville area; so that makes it a course I would guess some golfers might like to walk. The greens are interesting with different undulations. My one tip is to stay below the hole on ma…
