In summary

Rolling Hills Country Club is praised for its unique and challenging course layout, featuring hilly terrain and well-maintained greens that provide an engaging experience for golfers of all skill levels. The staff is frequently commended for their friendliness and helpfulness, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, some visitors have noted that certain areas of the course, such as tee boxes and fairways, can suffer from wear and require more maintenance, and there have been mixed reviews about the condition of the sand traps. Additionally, while the Easter brunch received positive feedback for service, there were criticisms regarding food quality and presentation.

Antlers Golf Club is a nice golf course located in Fort Johnson, NY. It is an 18 hole course with a practice green, pro shop ,and restaurant. The course is historic as it was the first one built in the Amsterdam area. Antlers is one of the most well designed courses in the area. The design builds in many doglegs and blind tee shots where you cannot see the green from the tee box. The course is very hilly and these hills can affect how you play your shots. Most of the greens have a lot of slope in them. It is a good idea to keep your ball below the pin on these as they move with a lot of pace.…

Needs quite a bit of attention on the grass end. Tee boxes were mostly bare ground and very unpleasant to start each hole. Greens were all in good shape.

A must play for old style links course. Hilly, but I was able to walk it. Fun fall golf. The course was in great shape and greens were clear of leaves despite being in then woods. Come give it a try, you will love the challenge.

Not at bad track at all. Greens were a little soft but once you got pace down it was manageable. The hills and constant elevation changes made for some interesting shot selection. Younger kid in pro shop was extremely friendly and polite and gave me a pretty good break down of course prior to teeing off.

Have to be honest the course was in rough shape when i went, the greens on the front were pretty rough, fairways weren't in great shape either had friendly staff but overall not great conditions

The golf course is so dried out. It feels like you’re playing on cement, but the greens are OK. I understand no rain, but it was terrible.

I agree w/ Anthony - we played there saturday and I loved the true Rolling Hills. Tight fairways were keeping it real - simply a great place. The staff at the Pro shop were very friendly and welcoming - my first time playing there and I'll definitely go back! UPDATE August, 2021: I now play here several times a year and my review from June 2018 still stands: super-friendly staff and a really fun course. Get out there!

Great course conditions, not too expensive, challenging greens. Grounds crew does well for what equipment they have. Only gripe I have is you have too move tee markers around more often. Those tees are small and get beat up quickly.

Easter brunch: Brianna, our waitress, and the cheesecake were the best part of this brunch. Hostess was too busy setting tables to stay by the door and greet people. Food was dry and not hot. There was a charge for tea, even though tea and coffee were advertised. Meals in the past were so good, but will not go back after this experience.

Had a super time playing here. The course was in good shape (the ruff looked to be exceptionally cared for). The cart worked great. No issues parking or loading/unloading.
