In summary

Rifle Creek Golf Course is praised for its beautiful mountain setting, especially the scenic and challenging back nine, and the friendly, accommodating staff. Many visitors appreciate the course's value and well-maintained greens, as well as the quality of the food and service at the restaurant. However, some golfers have noted issues with dry spots on the fairways, frequent tournament scheduling, and occasional negative interactions with staff, which have impacted their overall experience.

I've played every public golf course in the area and I give Rifel five stars. The course is not pristine, there's some dry spots and some of the sand traps are like dirt pits but that was okay with me. The staff are so friendly, including the ranger who told us to have a great time every time he saw us and didn't hassle us. The back nine through the canyons, the view is spectacular. The greens are in great shape and roll true. The best part is the value. $77 for eighteen holes with a cart is the best value in the valley.

I really enjoyed this course, it has the bones and layout of a phenomenal track. The front is just okay, the back 9 is quite memorable. I want to give more stars but they simply just need to water the course. It’s burnt out and lacking grass in some places. But $50 with a cart isn’t bad for what you get

Great views, layout is awesome, greens were great. Otherwise, fairways and rough are in pretty bad shape. Claim is they’re suffering from a drought but I recently played about 15 minutes away and other course was in prime condition. Hopefully they get it fixed by the end of summer.

We totally love this golf course. Beautiful back nine that you MUST play. If you only have time for 9 holes try to get on the back nine. Staff has always been good to help make this happen. We live in central coast CA and rate this course right among our favorites to play. Great food in the restaurant but make sure they are open when booking tee time. Great little bar, fast service. Love the Rifle Creek course.

Fun course. Both 9s are in good shape. The back is a lot of fun with elevation change and scenery.

Beautiful course. We really enjoyed the back 9. I would reccomend it. We try different courses wherever we travel and this is a fun one. The only thing that was disappointing and odd was that they had pulled all of the tee box markers. Since it was our first time on the course it was confusing especially on the front 9. We were told it was because it was late in the season. Never have I seen that before!

Went golfing and started at the back 9, didn’t know we weren’t supposed to because no one told us any different. We let everyone go in front of us before we tee’d off. Tim in the pro shop was incredibly rude to us! We wont be back. Just some young adults taking on a sport we love to play. Such a bummer. We love the course.
