In summary

Red Lodge Golf Club is appreciated for its scenic location and challenging layout, offering a variety of par 4s and 5s with water features that add to the course's complexity. However, many visitors have expressed concerns about the course's maintenance, particularly the poor condition of the greens and fairways, which are often described as unplayable. Additionally, some guests have noted issues with the golf carts and found the pricing to be high given the current state of the facilities. On a positive note, the food options, especially from the 28 Peaks Kitchen, receive high praise for quality and taste.

We were excited to play this course. Sadly, we couldn't believe how terrible the course conditions were. The front nine is worse than the back nine. The fairways have terrible grass, weeds and uneven mowing. The greens are worse. Virtually unputtable. The sand traps are essentially dirt and small pebbles. We couldn't believe what they charged considering the conditions. It was insulting.

This establishment far exceeded my expectations. I ordered a smashburger with crispy bacon. Well, I'm here to tell you that this smashburger is a 10 plus. This is the third time in life I've experienced a 10 plus in regards to a bacon cheeseburger. The bacon was cooked crispy and the bun was toasted golden brown to perfection. The garlic and onion seasoning really hit it out of the ballpark. If you have time, I HIGHLY recommend the 28 Peaks Kitchen located next to the golf corse clubhouse. The natural cut fries also exceeded my expectations as they were cooked to absolute perfection. First tim…

Beautiful course, but as other reviewers said there should be a discount for the condition of the course. The greens are in rough shape, but the fairway is also poorly mowed and maintained. The tee boxes are terrible, with dead grass and no attempt to keep the ground flat. At more than $50 for 9 holes, I expect better maintenance. The city par 3 plays better than this.

The greens ( all 18 holes) were the worse greens I have played on in 50 years! We were all excited to play this course as we were in town for a wedding. Don’t bother with this course!! No discounts for the conditions either.

Really hate to leave a 2 star review but these conditions need to be captured. It’s hard to stomach paying $72 for this, the greens were very bad. Greens were hardly alive, fairways were very bumpy, rough was dry and had lots of deep bumps, tee boxes were not level almost anywhere. Views were good but man, should be a $40 round if that. You can tell it was probably out of their hands, but in the meantime, there’s better golf elsewhere. Hopefully it gets fixed soon! The food truck was amazing!

The course is nice... a few really tough holes - like #5 - if you haven't played the course. The problem is the greens. On 7-12-25 when I played... every green had major patches of dead, bumpy grass. Hard to 2 putt and hard to drop anything outside 4 or 5 feet. I'd play it again, but come on with the greens (practice green is fine)

Good course. Lots of par 5s and 4s. Water throughout. Greens are small. Front nine is much more difficult than the back. Wind can be a major factor. Only docked a star because the price with a cart was pretty considerable. Also the clubhouse is small and was under renovation

Played this course last August and it was in great shape. Unfortunately, late winter weather conditions has taken its toll on the greens. Most had very little live turf. A couple weren’t affected as much on the back nine. If nice greens are important, better check it out before paying. Sad turn of conditions and I hope the greens come back for them.

The condition of this course is unplayable. Don’t bother! The greens are trashed and 50/50 dirt and grass. It’s so sad that they can charge $70 green fees and not tell you that the greens are unplayable.

Pretty hard to comprehend charging so much when the greens look like the picked up an STD. I know the grounds keeper messed up and sprayed Round up all over the greens earlier this year which is unfortunate but you have to imagine there are better ways to restart. Maybe tear up the greens and restart. Maybe insurance could help out but I don’t know. Just sucks this course is beautiful but the greens are shot.

The only good part of this place is the food they offer. 28 peaks food trailer is amazing and worth the price. Other than that, this place isn’t worth it to golf unless you use the driving range because then you might have a chance at not being harassed by the manager of the Pro Shop. Every other employee though is kind, friendly, and polite so there’s that.

Only played 9 holes and 7 of the 9 greens were not playable. Severely overpriced for the course conditions. Fairways were rough with dead areas throughout. No towels on ball washers, no yardage markers. Should have asked for our money back
