What People Say

In summary

Prestwick Country Club is appreciated for its friendly staff and well-maintained golf carts. However, many visitors express dissatisfaction with the course's condition, citing issues such as poorly maintained greens, overgrown fairways, and inadequate landscaping. Despite its potential and attractive layout, the course's upkeep has been a significant concern for many golfers.

Out of the 15 years that's one golfer. This place has now become one of the worst places to ever play. For the price of 52 dollars on the weekends is just to top it off. For the course not looking like it's been cut since Monday and the greens being so burnt you can't even line up a 5ft putt they are that bad. Any balls hit in the rough are gone too hard to find. Then halfway through to get a half warm hotdog and condiments that date 2 years old. I'm thinking it's time to close it down or fix it right. Take some pride in charging so much to not even cut hole 1 is just unheard of. Been to this…

Updated review with pictures added… funny you want to call out my husband for not wearing a polo. 😂😂 have you seen this course?! You over charge anyway and then try to turn away service for not having a polo on? This was a last minute decision. Provided a few pictures along with many other people of this course. I’m sorry but it’s sweatpants worthy at best. There’s one positive thing here and it’s the air conditioned bathroom on hole 4! I’ve tried with this place but that’s it for us. We try our best to come here and support a local golf course who is obviously struggling. We’ve spent a lot o…

I’m an avid “cheap golfer”, I don’t need pristine fairways and I’m pretty forgiving with my tee boxes, but this place deserves some serious TLC from a highly qualified landscaping crew. Almost every major element of the course was seriously lacking, to the degree that it had a significant impact on the actual game. That said the staff were all very friendly and courteous. Until I hear this place has been completely overhauled, I don’t think I’ll be going back, there are too many high quality courses with comparable fees. The back 9 is a lot higher quality than the front 9, for whatever it’s…

This course was in such horrible shape. For $40 I definitely was expecting the greens not to have crab grass and the fairways to be all burnt looking. Bunkers aren’t taken care of and they are grown up with grass and rocks and tee boxes are patchy. For a “country club” it definitely needs major work. Will be the last time someone robs me for $40.

$52 for the worst golf course in Indiana is insane. This place needs to shut down and spend a few years fixing it because it’s unplayable. Knowing what I know now, you couldn’t pay me to play at this place. They say “next time our greens will be better”. There is no next time. You’re over charging to get money from people that you know won’t come back and ruining your reputation that’s already in the dirt. These people do not care. Do not be fooled by any nice pictures they have on their front page. It’s an actual goat ranch.

Why isn’t zero stars an option? Has no business being open. $25 for 9 with a cart/person. Go elsewhere unless 9/9 unplayable greens are your thing. Those cart paths though… are indeed newly paved. Playing with a retired blacktop guy even managed to sour that. Something wasn’t hot enough…?? Scrape marks all over. If I owned a house around here,I’d be very unhappy. Again, should not be open to play.

⭐ 1/5 Had a 7am tee time on Saturday, April 25th and showed up ready to play — only to find nobody on site. No staff, no one to check us in, nothing. We were just left standing there with no way to access the course. If you're going to offer early morning tee times, you need to actually have someone there to honor them. A complete waste of a Saturday morning. Will not be returning.

Staff is always friendly, rates are fare for what you get, especially with how some of the other courses have raised their prices. One of my favorite things about this course is their golf carts. While I agree with some of the other reviews about the state of some parts of the course, the last time I was out I saw staff tending to the course. Hope this aspect of the course improves, but overall a decent course to play.

Worst course I’ve ever played and I’ve played all types including munis in different cities. The sad thing is…the restaurant, the course layout, and the surrounding homes are beautiful. The condition of the course itself is horrendous. The old White Lick Golf Course may have been better.

I played here today because I was trying to book a tee time the night before and this was one of the few with openings. Now I see why. The course was in HORRIBLE shape with thousands of dandelions covering the entire course. The greens and tee boxes were the worst I’ve ever seen at a course. The worst part is they are charging $52 to play. Will never return.

Venturing onto the once-promising fairways of this golf course feels more like traversing a neglected meadow than a sporting pursuit. Dandelions stand tall amidst the overgrown grass, their yellow blooms mocking the futile attempts at maintenance. Fairways, now mere suggestions of their former selves, are strewn with forgotten divots and hidden hazards. Each step risks ankle-twisting encounters with unseen crevices. The greens, or what's left of them, resemble lunar landscapes dotted with patches of moss and weeds. Putting becomes an exercise in futility as balls ricochet unpredictably off the…

I played collegiate golf and have played thousands of golf courses in my lifetime. I’ve never been sadder during a round of golf. It’s such a shame to see a course with so much potential be so absolutely horrible. I can’t believe I even paid $45 to play here. The club house has the style of an old beautiful country club. This place should not be open…
