Played Preston GC on the nice, quiet, peaceful Sunday morning of 19 September 2021, my 127th different course in a little over 2 years. I loved the cute quack-crew greeting (ducks)! Nicona in the pro shop was a sweet lady - very accommodating and personable! I also really loved the serenity of the front 9. This section is only developed along two fairways (#2 & 3), and very well maintained with beautiful tree-lined fairways and immaculate greens. The par 3 #6 and #9 are especially scenic holes with beautiful lakes and landscape design. Hats off to the superintendent! The back 9 is more develop…

Swampy fairways and dry greens, and the setup of Holes/ Tee boxes is a little confusing, and heaven forbid you Park the carts in the wrong area after use . . . The staff is nice though!

I have to start with this course is absolutely beautiful and the staff has always been friendly but everytime we go here it is very very slow (45 min behind pace, three groups waiting at a tee block slow) I seen three groups of 6 people playing together in front of us which makes for a long slow game. Otherwise a great course maybe send some people on the back nine to start or don't let groups of 6 play together.

Short review: Best customer service I’ve ever received in my 25 years of living. Long review (part 2/2): (Continued from the other review) But instead, about an hour later, Eric gives me a call saying he found my wedge & that he will ship it to me. Elated, I give my sincerest thanks & offer to send him money for the postage. After all, shipping a golf club from Idaho to Chicago can’t be cheap. But he insists that he won’t accept any payment from me for mailing the club. Fast forward to sometime later, I’m back in Chicago & I receive a long rectangular-shaped package in the mail. Opening i…

I only got to see the back 9 of this course so far as I was running out of daylight. I do hope to get up here again and play the front at some point. I did enjoy the back nine. The course was in great shape and easy to walk. I like #'s 11 and 16 the most on the back. 2019 I did get back up here and play the whole course. The front is older than the back. This is a fun course with nice people working and playing.

Course cared for minimally. Turf burnt along edges, cuttings from mowers clumpy. This is first year an outdoor head installed on back nine. Golfers were going to the bathroom along side of mounds. Golfers not instructed about liabilities of errant balls and numerous carts trespass on yards.

Nice course, play it weekly. Not too crowded during the week, and always in good condition. It offers a nice mix of challenging holes with intermediate. Only downside is no driving range.

I am not a golfer and this is my first experience visiting a golf course to get prices. 9 holes ~$13 Club rentals ~$6 Cart ~$7 Junior classes ~$35 per 45 minutes starting in June and running through july There is no established driving range but there are one or two practice putting greens. All in all, this seems like a nice course with very reasonable pricing.
