In summary

Pound Ridge Golf Club is widely praised for its beautiful and challenging course layout, with well-maintained fairways and greens that provide a high-level golfing experience. The staff is often commended for their friendliness and professionalism, although some visitors have reported negative interactions with certain staff members. While the course conditions are generally appreciated, there are recurring complaints about the high cost, maintenance activities during play, and occasional lack of communication regarding course conditions such as aerated greens.

Holy moly, what a beautiful gorgeous amazing stunning whatever you wanna call it place this was. Pete dye truly has you questioning the skill, mind and test that you put yourself through play this course. The staff and service was amazing starter was super friendly course was prestigious in every possible aspect. Price is great for the experienced golfer and or high class golfer. I was lucky enough to be gifted a round for my birthday and will forever cherish my times on the ground. 10/10 Fairways, 10/10 Greens, Practice area with full Chipping, Putting and driving range. Open only during the…

Golfed for the first time with my son last Saturday, fantastic course , condition and skill level, it’s not easy but if you thing you can do ok , need to play again now that I have some knowledge. Outdoor crew and servers were great! Expensive but thought worth it for where we were.

ABSOLUTELY gorgeous course. I have nothing but the most incredible things to say about this place. While it is a little overpriced in my opinion, if you can make it happen, I definitely think everyone should play this course at least once.

This place is an absolute OASIS. I play here multiple times per week and never feel like the course is boring. It is well kept, the fairways and greens are impeccable (assuming people fix ball marks). The course is treated with great care and it certainly looks like it. Layout it just fantastic. YOU MUST PLAY THE CORRECT TEES ! It is not cheap, but it shouldnt be ! It is another level of golf and the price keeps the pace where it should be. The staff is friendly, professional and soooo helpful ! LOVE IT HERE... Simply put......it is AWESOME !!!

Overall the course is a fantastic play. Challenging and great condition....BUT....for $260 I'd would be nice to not have maintenance manually watering every single freaking fairway and green while we are standing on the tee box. Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional for course of this stature. Basically no water on the course and we saw the beverage cart once. Again, course was great but ammentities and service and maintenance were not good at all which makes charging $260 a borderline crime. Hope this helps future travelers passing through like we did.

The staff here— pro shop and starter— are extremely rude every single time I’ve played at the course (which is several). It appears deliberate as if anyone playing at pound ridge should be privileged to pay $260. The number of other reviews that say the same says it all. Too bad because the course is great— the staff should stay home.

This course rivals any of the best they play on tour. But they need to get some better range balls.

Tough track with a lot of blind shots. 5 hour round (Monday at 9:30). Tons of maintenance crews out watering. Little pricey. Several sloped tee boxes. Cash only on the course for food and bev. Menu is limited. Wont rush back.

I play golf with a group of 20 guys and we play all over the tri state area. Today we had 3 tee times at Pound Ridge. You can only get 1 tee time online and have to call for the other 2. Got to the course, the parking lot had about 25 cars in it. I dropped my clubs at the bag drop and went inside to pay. On the website it says that the greens were punched on March 25 so they have a reduced tee fee of $130. I let the man at the register know we only have 10 guys, as 2 of our guys got stuck at work and couldn’t make it. He proceeds to tell me that I will have to pay for the 2 spots we didn’t use…

Very disappointing. We were charged $260 per person this weekend. Course is decent but greens were in terrible condition as were the tee boxes. The course just cannot justify the price. Cart girl was only seen once. Separately staff are extremely unprofessional. We were called cheapskates to our face by the men who clean the carts because we didn’t have cash for a tip. Completely unacceptable for any establishment but especially for a course charging premium pricing. Save you money and go elsewhere. Terrible value for money and staff make it very unenjoyable

Love it. Nice layout, good conditions! some holes are very challenging & require carry distance. Better follow the suggestion for the tee.

The management of the golf course and the management of the green are very satisfactory. The difficulty of the rough is high. Facility managers lack understanding of golf. : Spray water on the green during golf. During the tee shot, the manager's cart passes in the direction of the tee shot despite, even he's eyes contact with us. There is a lack of the editorial of the people who should not come out of the price.
