In summary

Pond-A-River Golf Club is appreciated for its scenic, secluded setting and challenging back nine, which offers unique elevation changes and water features. Many golfers enjoy the course's affordability and friendly atmosphere, along with its commitment to community through charity events. However, some visitors note issues with maintenance, such as poorly defined fairways and tee boxes, and mention that the challenging layout can lead to a slower pace of play.

A pleasant surprise in the middle of farm land nestled alongside the Maumee River. The front presents a relatively flat set of 9 holes, but the back will challenge your short game with several elevation changes. A nice gem that I'll play again.

Interesting shorter course. If they would improve the tee stations, would push 5 stars.

Decent course with lots to offer. Back nine is very challenging. The course itself is very isolated. It's not an location but it's worth the drive to test your skills. The green are decent along with fairways.

Great course for the price. Front 9 is open and is pretty straight forward with some unique challenges. Back 9 is short but very challenging. My only complaint is that at times the back 9 is so challenging that newer players can bog down the speed of play with multiple lost balls. Course conditions are almost always top notch, jewel of Allen County.

The positive: Unique course for the area. Won't find another one like it. Secluded at many points, especially back nine The negative: It is not kept well. Hard to tell where fairway changes to rough. Good amount of weeds/crab grass. The greens do roll true, though. Short course. Par 69. Uniquely fun, just don't expect high quality.

Never played this course, and I was pleasantly surprised! It's in a very out of the way setting in Woodburn. The front nine is a great set of warm up holes to prepare you for the back nine. While the back nine offers up primarily par 3's, don't let that fool you. Several holes you will need to carry over water. Others have the green above your head at the tee boxes. Make it a point to go out and golf this course!

Had Such a Wonderful time!! 🙂 Great out in the Country Golf Course!! No Huge houses around!! Playing in all pure Nature!! & Crazy fun Greens where you would never expect them! Prices Very reasonable! In my opinion, Excellent place for the family even to play golf! (Note: I am by NO means a Pro! So if your looking for an (Expensive), (High Standard) & (Pro) Golf course, than this would not be the course for you! But it's perfect place for me & I LOVE it!! ❤️

Played this course for the first time on 6/18/22. The front 9 was basic, couple par 3s, and par 5s. The back 9 on the other hand is very challenging but enjoyable. Be prepared to bring your best short game, loaded with par 3s, different elevations.

If your a average/ below average golfer this is the course for you the fairways were long but still playable the greens are dead slow yes it is a challenge to your short game but most of your shots will be on horrible ground. The staff was great and I was able to get out right away but prepare to play at a slow pace

Poor layout. Small greens. Tee boxes were mostly mud. Course is poorly maintained. Disappointing, will not play this course again.

Pond-a-River is an absolute gem that not only offers a delightful golfing experience but also touches the heart with its annual charity fundraising golf tournament for a children's home. I recently had the pleasure of participating in this event, and I cannot praise the course and its dedicated staff enough. First and foremost, the condition of the course at Pond-a-River is impeccable. Every fairway is meticulously maintained, and the greens are lush and inviting. As I made my way through the course, I couldn't help but appreciate the pristine beauty surrounding me. The rolling hills, picture…
