In summary

Orange County National Golf Club is praised for its well-maintained courses, with Panther Lake offering scenic views and Crooked Cat providing a challenging layout. The facility is noted for its extensive practice areas and helpful staff, enhancing the overall golfing experience. However, some visitors have expressed dissatisfaction with course management, particularly concerning communication about course conditions and pace of play, which has affected their enjoyment.

We played at Orange County National today and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with course management. On the first tee, the starter would not allow our group to even pull our carts forward until the group ahead had reached the green. We were held back unnecessarily and then immediately lectured about pace of play, despite never holding up the group behind us. The marshal never once approached us on the course. At the turn, we stopped briefly to grab food and were again confronted about pace of play and told we may need to skip a hole. Meanwhile, the group behind us was just…

Range machine closes early monday. But besides that this is the perfect place to hit balls. Plenty of room on the range. You can bring your own balls to hit in the practice chipping area and stay out all night putting and chipping. The 9hole executive walking course is so cute and fun. Crooked cat and Panther Lake are the 2 18 hole courses. Panther Lake is more scenic and my favorite for the afternoon sunset golf views! There is an academy to enroll kids and take lessons from the many instructors! Every thing you need and it never feels crowded.

Played Panther on May 3rd. Check in was very positive. We played here last year and had a good experience. However, once we approached the first green, we quickly realized they had killed the greens in preparation for closing the course on May 4th to replace the greens. Nobody informed us of this issue. It was a disgrace, every green was dead. Needless to say, our experience was terrible. There was no price reduction (we paid $170) or apology for the miserable conditions. Why would you start preparing for construction when you are still selling full cost tee times. A very disappointing experie…

4 out of 5 stars due to some grumpy guy, Mike who checked my party of 6 in. 2nd time at Panther Lake Golf Course. The grounds are fantastic. The cart service circles around every 2-3 holes. The starter is chipper and easy going. It was the check in experience that left a mark. I paid online on Golf Now. Realized once I arrived I still had a balance for 2 of the 6 players. No big deal. Mike said, “are you playing”? Confused by the question. I recall my first experience went a lot smoother in November 2025. We were greeted by staff who went above and beyond to inform me and my husband where to…

Check in was very positive and friendly. We played here before and have had a good experience. However, once we got on the course (Panther Lake) when approaching the first green, we quickly realized they had killed the greens and surrounding area in preparation for closing the course on May 4th to replace the greens. Nobody informed us of this issue, not even the starter. It was a disgrace, every green was dead. Needless to say, our experience was terrible. Coming to the course for the first time, the staff were very helpful and informative in helping get me ready to play for my reservation. The par 3 course I went to play (The Tooth) seemed very well maintained, challenging and interesting yet still quickly playable. I definitely will be back to play more & look forward to my next visit!

Great Pisces to play. Two world class 18 hole golf courses. 360° driving range, plenty of getting area, par 3 course, chipping and pitching area, large practice putting green. Pro shop is fully stocked.

Two great courses. Panther lake was more enjoyable with the water and trees making it a difficult and interesting layout. Crooked cat was also a great course but the greens werent rolling as fast or true as Panther. The links style wasn't all that memorable. The management could look to improve pace of play by spreading the tee times out by a few more minutes.

1 STAR. Would give a O if I could. With a group of 16 guys coming down from Michigan and Toronto, booked March 24th for Panther Lake, there was ZERO communication about them killing the greens, closing the course the next day, and charging the whole entire group a full rate of $160+ American... $230+ Canadian. We are severely disappointed with the way we were treated. Course employees made it seem like it was our issue for not checking course conditions on our own claiming other golfers actually like the dead greens....double downing on their poor conditions. There was a single paired with one…

My stay was wonderful,Phillip and Diego took care of me and made sure my day was great. My room was immaculate and smelled nice and fresh ,however the GM was very rude and treated the staff pretty bad. The GM named John treated the staff horribly with his tone and demeanor.

We played the Crooked Cat course. It was perfectly maintained and a great, challenging course. It played about 4.5 hours. We traveled from Vermont and will absolutely be back! Worth the price for sure.

Played Crooked Cat and ran out of daylight on 14. Play really slowed after the turn. Course was in great shape, and staff was friendly. Definitely would come back to see the full track
