In summary

North River Golf Club is appreciated for its friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, and affordability, making it a popular choice for beginners and casual players. The course layout, featuring no bunkers and few hazards, offers a relaxed golfing experience, though some find the course conditions, such as uneven tee boxes and sandy greens, in need of improvement. While many enjoy the laid-back environment, there are occasional concerns about slow pace of play and maintenance disruptions.

A very fun, friendly golf course. Plenty of interest to keep all levels of golfers on their toes. Had the pleasure of meeting the owner who seems very down to earth and welcoming. Shout out to Chrissy in the pro shop who was friendly and personable. Also pulled double duty as our bartender and was great to shoot the breeze with. Highly recommend playing here for a fun, laid back round.

It’s probably not actually a four star course, but 3.5 isn’t an option. What it is is a really cool little course. It only measures about 4,500 yards from the tips, but it feels longer because of all the dog legs. Water does come into play on a few holes. I really enjoyed the layout. The conditions are average at best. Most of the tee boxes are “turtle backs”, and need to be leveled. The greens are actually faster than they probably should be, and they rolled pretty true. I didn’t really use the practice facilities, except for five putts. The carts look nice, but they drive old. Also, there is…

Nice little golf course, conditions were good overall. It is a shorter course par 66 and sometimes can back up a bit because a lot of newbies play it, other than that no complaints

This course used to be really nice, I don’t know what happened. The front 9 is definitely in better shape than the back for sure. There was workers cutting the grass the whole time we were playing and never stopped mowing as we tee’d off or addressed the ball. It was extremely frustrating. I hit a ball & put it over the green & I was looking for it & whenI found it & they had ran my ball over with the mower…I was pissed to say the least! It wasn’t until they saw me take pictures of them that they would stop mowing when we played. I don’t know if there is someone new in charge now but this plac…

I love playing here!!! The staff is attentive and friendly! The prices are the best around for the 18 holes, driving range and refreshments! Not to mention everyone I've met that comes too play here, comes to have fun! I will always recommend others to come play here!

Fun course with no bunkers and very few hazards. You could actually put the entire course if you wanted! Staff was accommodating and courteous. The day we played was pretty wide open and only had 1 group of 4 ladies that we skipped ahead of. Greens were quick and the tee boxes in ok shape. My only negative remarks would be the area around the greens were a bit sandy and hard to get up and down from. But maybe I just need to hit more greens !

Nice short course with no par 5’s. They do serve food and drinks. Don’t hit it in the water on hole 3! Perfect for all levels.

I’ve played 9 holes here every week (in season) with a ladies group for the past four years. It’s where I really started out as a golfer and it was my “comfort course.” That said, I probably play golf 2-3 times a week now for the past 2-3 years with SNR being one of the courses and only with the ladies- the other days we are out playing with our husbands at various courses.. The price to play nine holes went up $6 last year for our group and another $3 this year - so it is $36 to play 9, or $44 for 18. Of course, a couple of us started playing 18 for the price difference -we felt it was worth…

Very poor customer service and very small golf courses, also has very poor golf carts and HORRIBLE staff they complain about going to fast along the driving lanes and complain about hitting it too far. Do not recommend going here either jenson beach golf course or saints golf course!!!

fun little course, great for new players. NO bunkers at all on the course, very little water. some very tight paralell fairways so maintain a watchful eye when joey bats is teeing off on the opposing fairway. We were almost stuck and we almost hit two guys in a cart. greens and fairways are in pretty rough shape but if you're just starting out and seeking a nice course on a budget, this is it. friendly staff inside too.
