In summary

My Old Kentucky Home Golf Course is frequently praised for its scenic beauty, well-maintained greens, and friendly staff, creating a welcoming atmosphere for golfers of all skill levels. The course layout offers a mix of challenges, particularly on the back nine, and is conveniently located near popular attractions like distilleries. However, some visitors have noted issues with maintenance in certain areas, such as cart paths and signage, and have expressed concerns about the value relative to the price.

I don’t even know where to start . First off, thank you ! This is by far the most beautiful and fun course I’ve ever played . I loved their pro shop, their workers , greens , fairways , you name it and it was above amazing . I will without a doubt be back . The price was also amazing ! $40 a person for 18 with a cart !!! Again, thank you so much for this beautiful course and the family like feeling you get once you are up there .

Fantastic place to play golf. Drove an hour from Lexington to go give it a shot and it was worth it. It was a bit shorter than some if the courses we play in Lexington but that's not a bad thing. Made it a bit easier for someone like me that's still playing at a amature level. The staff there was great. I showed up about half hour early and I just sat around on the couch and talked with these guys for a while until my friend showed up. They made it feel like I had know them forever and we were just shooting the breeze. Even gave me a run down of the course. I think the greens were my favorite…

I did not much expected before playing though, the course was pretty fun and nice. All course has beautiful scenery and refreshing trees. Front nine was relatively flat but back nine has much elevation and isolated in the woods. On 4/18, many bunkers were being repaired possibly due to much rains, but hopefully they will fix it soon. Greens were good as well as fairways. Worth to play for sure.

I always enjoy playing at My Old Kentucky Home Golf Course. The fairways and greens were in good shape. The is no driving range but the practice chipping and putting range are excellent in helping you get focused for your round. I was having a good round until the last three holes. Their layout took me by the neck and shook me like an old rag. I was not happy with my play. It is on my schedule for a rematch.

The course has really turned around over the last couple of years, I played here in 2015 a couple times and the course itself was in rough shape. The staff in the pro shop didn’t make you want to come back either being completely honest. I have been twice in the last month and the pro shop is very friendly and the course is in great shape!

This is somewhere my family and I have been going for years for a golf tournament where we all participate. All extended family, and there have been at least a hundred of us at once some years. This year we went and the staff gave us quite a bit of trouble because of something that was poorly communicated. The golf cart paths were crumbling and it really seems like they haven’t been using all that money they receive from golfers to upkeep the grounds the way they should we probably won’t be returning next year. Which is unfortunate because we have been coming here for years now.

What do you get when you mix golf and bourbon? For most players, it’s a forgettable score, but in Kentucky, it’s a winning combination for tourists! Here, you can mix the golf courses at several Kentucky State Parks with nearby members of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail and create memorable results. The Kentucky State Parks have a lot to offer golfers with challenging and scenic golf courses all over the state. Many offer lodging and several are within easy driving distance of each other. The Kentucky State Parks website has made it easy for you to plan your next round of golf at one of these faci…

Fun but frustrating game of golf. Pretty scenery. Saw deer & other wildlife on course. Beautful music played on speakers. Nicely filled bunkers. Ponds were nice & beautiful. Very dry & cracked in several areas throughout the course. Ball cleaning stations were empty. Couldn't clean the dirty off the golf balls. It was hard to find golf balls. They bounced all over the place & into the weed because the ground was so dry. Couldn't find next holes due to lack of & broken signs. It was very confusing getting through the game. It was way too expensive for what we got. $104 for 2 people. Price shoul…

Great staff and the course never disappoints. Some green issues that everyone is having summer 2025. I’ll be back soon.
