In summary

Bardstown Country Club is appreciated for its friendly staff, scenic layout with elevation changes, and well-maintained amenities, including a clubhouse with a full menu and bar. Visitors enjoy the course's challenging yet fun design, with some praising the greens and fairways. However, several reviews highlight concerns about the course's condition, particularly the greens and rough, with mentions of weeds and inconsistent maintenance. Additionally, some guests feel the course's pricing does not reflect its current state.

This course has a nice layout and decent greens, but the fairways and tee boxes need a lot of work. Should have taken photos of some of the tee boxes because many looked like 8x8 squares cut into the rough overrun by anthills! We did have dinner at the clubhouse and enjoyed the hot brown on the menu. So probably back for food, but not golf.

Outdoor or indoor seating with a full menu and fully stocked bar with a newly renovated dining room serving breakfast ,lunch and dinner. They can also host meetings, receptions, parties ,etc. Lunch and dinner are good with a variety of dishes to choose from. The sunset view is the prettiest here than anywhere else in Bardstown, spectacular. Mikayla is an excellent server, very polite, very attentive and just what every restaurant needs.

Went on Sunday, Aug 3, having driven down from Lexington. The # of weeds and the quality of the putting surface was disturbing. The fringe was non existent and was nothing but crab grass. The greens had tons of poorly repaired or not repaired ball marks and were very bumpy. The rpugh was full of weeds and it was difficult to find balls due to the dandelions. Overall, pace of play was decent which was a positive. When the round ended, the cart attendant came to us and immediately started spitting out really hateful and disgusting political garbage. None of us engaged and he continued with that…

The course, like many in this area of the country has faced decline in green conditions, but has with massive effort worked to keep it in great condition. Friendly and absolutely worth the fee.

I’ve played many courses over my many years of golf and this was the worst condition greens I have ever played. The price that was charged did not equal to the condition of the course shame on Bardstown CC for charging for such a poor course condition!

I do not recommend going to this course at all. I understand we have had a hot summer but the course is in terrible condition. The green are dying out and they are still charging full price it is not worth it. I was greatly disappointed

Not great at all. Paid $65 dollars for burnt greens and crabgrass fringes. Fairways were in good shape, along with the bunkers. Not the worst but for $65 I expected better.

It would be a 5 but members make it feel very inclusive... I'm a scratch golfer just trying to golf the courses in ky, this course if your not a member or know someone your jumped in front of and forget about playing thru. Rude memebers ruin courses

Played Maywood yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. The pro shop staff is top notch. The practice range and putting green are perfect. The golf course layout is fun and challenging. The condition of the golf course is excellent but a few of the bunkers are still being renovated and are being played as ground-under-repair. The greens roll pure. One recommendation is a few signs are needed to help navigating between certain holes. Perhaps most importantly for the group I was with, the selection of beers offered in the clubhouse is excellent.
