In summary

Musgrove Mill Golf Club is highly praised for its challenging layout, picturesque setting, and excellent course conditions, particularly the well-maintained bent grass greens. The staff, including the Director of Golf, receives accolades for their exceptional hospitality, enhancing the overall experience. While the course's difficulty and tight fairways are noted, some suggest that reducing the penal nature of certain areas could improve playability and speed up rounds.

Musgrove is one of the best experience in golf you can find the state of SC. The wild landscape of the course allows members and guest to immerse themselves in nature while on the golf course. A challenging layout requires players to think their way through the round while the excellent course conditions allow you to do so.

Had a special invitation to play 2 rounds of golf at Musgrove Mill and it was an amazing experience. The reviews of the course are spot on; it's an awesome test of golf. Very few level lies in the fairways create a true test for your iron play. Greens are bent grass and quick, but not outrageous as elevation & slopes would be out of control. "The Mill" is a thinking mans course and you'll use every club in your bag. Beyond the course, the staff is the real gem here. From the Director of Golf, Jeff Tallman, to the cart guys, everyone treated us with over-the-top hospitality. If you ever get an…

Played the Mill Saturday with my nephew. What a great golf course. Beautiful views at every turn and a fantastic layout. I didn’t have my A game, but a great experience nonetheless. Can’t wait to play it again.

Great course. The cool thing about it is that the course plays way different when you play from the tips. Playing from the whites requires more strategic off the tee approach. Not many safe driver tees.

Challenging but scenic golf course tucked away off the beaten path in Clinton, SC. Bring plenty of balls as the fairways are tight and there's a lot of water hazards, including the Enoree River that winds along several holes. Still a fun time and definitely worth a visit.

While it's not quite the gem it once was, with increased play and river flooding affecting overall condition, it's still one of the best pure golf experiences in our state.

I can't say enough about this course. Played a practice round last week in preparation for a CGA tourney earlier this week. Thank God we put in the work during the practice round. You cannot hit driver on every hole. This is a maniacally designed track that will challenge EVERY aspect of your game. Miss a fairway and you're either in the water or a penalty area. The bent greens are firm. If you are on the wrong tier and putting downhill... well, good luck with that. It's 155 slope rating is much deserved. Its 2hrs from Charlotte and worth the time. Look forward to playing it again.

One of the greatest golf courses I've ever played. There is not a more challenging layout this side of the Mississippi. (153 slope rating from the tips). It is private, so if you get the chance to go, don't pass it up. Bring your A game and don't be upset if you shoot 10 worse than normal. It is exciting and in great shape year round.

The fairways and greens at this course are really good. The are plenty of elevation changes and the greens have a lot of undulation. They work hard to maintain bent grass in a hot climate. The large clumps of long grass and weeds that exist are so penal that if you hit a ball in them, it's lost. There is very little progressive rough. Either you are in the fairway or, in most cases, you play a provisional. The course has been in existence long enough for there to have been more cleaning in the trees and mowing of high grassy areas. Making the areas I pointed out less penal will make this cours…
