In summary

Lakeside Country Club is often praised for its friendly and professional staff, well-maintained greens, and scenic, challenging layout that includes rolling hills and elevated greens. Many visitors appreciate the improvements made to the course conditions, particularly the switch to Bermuda greens. However, some criticisms include poor cart paths, inconsistent green conditions, and issues with the driving range and venue accessibility.

Lakeside is truly a hidden gem. The new, friendly, and professional staff are bringing fresh changes that are already making a noticeable difference. Jessica and Kerrie at the Palmetto Tavern consistently deliver great food, well-crafted drinks, and warm, engaging conversation. It’s a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.

Don't judge by the cart path, because they are horrendous, overall nice course with TLC and warm weather to repair some greens, but all greens play true and fast.Id definitely play again, in current condition its worth $25 or less everyday, proshop is poor on everything, does have sandwiches and bottled drinks. The course has a lot of blind shots and is very tight but a hidden gem. They also have great carts with USB outlets.

We found this hidden gem today on the way home to Augusta. Greens were great/fast and the course was pretty. Very nice staff.

Oh boy, buckle up, because I'm about to take you on a par-tee at the Lakeside Country Club in Laurens, SC! Now, I'm not saying I'm a big deal, but when I swing, even the trees leave. And let me tell you, the greens here are so well-kept, I almost apologized for stepping on them with my less-than-par golf shoes. First off, the staff here are friendlier than a squirrel in your backyard – they're nuts about service! They greeted us with smiles so bright, I thought I'd walked onto a toothpaste commercial. And the clubhouse? It's cleaner than my browser history before a family tech support session…

We've come up from Florida the past three years and played this course. It's a challenging course with nice scenery and always well maintained. The staff has always made us feel like we were regulars instead of out-of-towners. We've tried other courses in the area, but this is our favorite.

Great greens and getting better, but very challenging course. Not long, but terrain is rolling hills and greens are elevated. Beautiful scenery. I'll play here as much as they will let me!

Fairways are balding, bunkers are not kept up, greens are in poor condition, very uneven, range is short with no yardage and range balls are tore up and terrible. For 41 dollars it's not worth it. 20 maybe. Please improve your course, maybe hire a superintendent who knows what they're doing and cares

Lakeside Country Club is a hidden gem and a must play on your golf getaway list. Josh their golf course Superintendent has done a great job especially going into the heat of the summer. Now that they have changed to Bermuda greens, the overall condition is well worth teeing in up with friends and family.

Unless you are a Billy goat take a cart, the course is very hilly. Many blind spots from the fairway to greens, seems unfair to walk 20 yards to see where the green is on a 150 yard shot. Happens too often. Greens are postage stamp small, nobody fixes ball marks or rakes traps. Greens are in terrible shape. There are better options out there for the price.

Great coarse but I was told I can only hit irons on the driving range and thats disappointing cause I need the most practice on my driver. The coarse is beautiful and fun to play.
