In summary

Mayfair Country Club is appreciated for its friendly and accommodating staff, as well as its newly opened clubhouse, which enhances the overall experience with good food and service. The course layout is generally well-liked, though some visitors mention that the grounds could benefit from maintenance, noting issues with tee boxes and fairways. While many enjoy the reasonable rates and overall atmosphere, a few have experienced disruptions during play, citing concerns about course etiquette and noise from maintenance activities.

It was enough golf course for a pleasant rounding with my wife and son. All the staff were kind There was a slight delay in the middle of the rounding, but it was convincing enough. Course layout is essential for the first visit, and the hall sign is not detailed in the middle It was a happy time where all the family members were satisfied.

Sanford’s golf course finally opened it’s new clubhouse ! Couple years in the making, the staff worked very hard to ease golfers around during this time ! Now it’s time to enjoy the new facilites and play golf in this jewel amongst Florida’s golf courses !!

We had a great experience with Brittany, events coordinator, and staff in helping us have a Celebration of Life for our father! He enjoyed playing golf at Mayfair for many years and it just made a memorable day having the celebration there . The chef did a great job and certainly made sure we were accommodated! We would definitely use the club again!

Great local golf course with fun staff. Kylie and Avery were the friendliest and best bar tenders of all the local golf courses. You have to play here and check it out yourself.

I had a good time here. Casual golfer. Course was a little beat up but still playable. Wasn’t hassled by anyone. Excited to see the new club house.

I would never go back here again. Every hole I played there was someone working or driving or using a power tool or something disrupting the game. It was absolutely unenjoyable. I go out there to play golf to get away from life. Looking to get away from things. There was a thing called golf etiquette and they completely ignored it and completely ruined by golf outing that I paid for Mayfair country club. You have to do better. Remember golf etiquette went on the golf course

Mayfair's Grand Opening for the new Clubhouse was delightful. We ate at the restaurant today - service was the best and food delicious. Menu for breakfast, lunch & dinner a good choice of items. Also lots of outdoor setting Lake Mary & Sanford have needed a restaurant like this -casual and enjoyable.

Have played here over 300 times and I never will again now. At 6:15, with an hour and 45 of daylight left, we pull up on hole 10 and there’s no flag. The worker took it out because “he can’t work late.” Asked him if he could leave the rest in for us, and he asked what our handicap is. He said we shouldn’t need the flag at all. At 7 PM, still 30-45 minutes of daylight left. Worker comes and takes all of our flags off the greens. It’s hole 15. We ask if we can play until it gets dark and he asks what our handicap is again and said it doesn’t matter where the hole is and takes all flags and says…

Very friendly staff. Very good layout. Very reasonable rates. Would have given five stars but it was a little dry but it hasn't rained. Greens were in pretty good shape. I'll be back for sure.

I’d like to give it another star because it’s a really cool layout, and the green complexes are amazing. But… the conditions are too poor. The tee boxes were commonly not level and a little choppy. The fairways were spotty, and you bounced around in the cart a lot. But the greens were mostly really nice and fast. It’s the classic example of “if they just sank some money into it…”. But l did enjoy the round. I didn’t use the practice facilities at all. The cart was old, noisy, no GPS or USB. And someone thought it would be a good idea to put the driving range next to the parking lot.

I had an unfortunate time here today. Everything seemed to be moving smoothly until around hole fourteen when the course ranger came up to me and my friends and told us to “get a move on.” Mind you we were well ahead of place. After that he then said “have you guys ever heard of best ball.” We also had to tee off late due to the group ahead of us ordering a hot dog and it taking fifteen minutes. :(

I played there yesterday for the 1st time in years. The clubhouse and restaurant are outstanding, all brand new and the food was good. But the grounds need to be upgraded. There were a lot of unseeded open grounds, with lots of dips and holes. It played pretty good and would be outstanding if they gave some attention to the look of the grounds. An added plus was that the staff were outstanding. We were met with big smiles and offers for assistance. Overall a pretty pleasant experience. I will be playing again next week.
