In summary

Maggie Valley Club & Resort is praised for its beautiful mountain setting, well-maintained course, and friendly staff, offering a diverse layout that appeals to both beginners and experienced golfers. The front nine is noted for being flat and open, while the back nine provides a more challenging, picturesque mountain experience. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the condition of the tee boxes, cart path maintenance, and occasional service issues, particularly in the pro shop and restaurant.

Maggie Valley Golf course is an absolutely beautiful course set right in the mountains. The scenery alone makes it worth playing. Every hole feels picturesque and peaceful. One of the things we really enjoyed was the contrast between the front nine and the back nine. The front nine is fairly flat and relaxing, while the back nine becomes more challenging with elevation changes, hills and doglegs that keep things interesting and fun. The course offers a great mix of holes that make it enjoyable for me who is a beginner golfer to my husband who is more skilled. The rates were very reasonable,…

We did not stay at the club but played 18 holes there. The course was beautiful and the staff was amazing! We had a great day there! Thank you Adam for your excellent customer service!

The course was well kept and beautiful, pro shop staff was perfectly pleasant, but the disrespect from grounds staff was really disappointing. 4 of us traveled to play this course and were very excited. We were the last tee time, flying through, an hour ahead of pace. And they turned the sprinklers on on the greens ahead of us! It was 55 degrees. Our socks were wet. My new putter’s insert is full of sand I can’t get out without damaging it. I really hope they don’t make a habit of this.

We went out to Maggie Valley for the golf and did not stay at the hotel. The place is gorgeous. The 18 hole course is well kept and the layout keeps the round interesting. The staff is friendly and the views are fantastic. We'll be going back in a couple of days

Great golf course! Thoroughly enjoyed this course. Great value for the experience. Greens and fairways are in great shape. Staff were super informative and helpful. However, asphalt on most cart paths is in very bad shape and needs attention.

We had a great time golfing. The course is in great shape tee to greens. The restaurant and bar was good. They ran out of limes, but my drink was good otherwise.

Went to the Pin High restaurant at Maggie Valley Country Club for lunch and had a delicious meal. We sat outside and the view of surrounding mountains amongst golf course was beautiful.

Really nice, tough but fair golf course. Fairways & greens in good shape. A few tee boxes were patchy. Mountain view golf was a first for me. Came back and played again before my trip ended. See ya again next year!

The course is an interesting mountain course and offers good Mountain Views. For $100 a round, I expect a course in great condition. However, the tee boxes consistently had overgrown crab grass on half the tee area or were sloped up or down without a flat place to tee off. Reminded me of tee boxes on public courses that are in tough shape oftentimes. Most holes did not have ball washers either. I Would never complain for $50 or so a round but once I pay a certain amount, I expect more. Sometimes you pay for the clubhouse and pro shop but there was also no soap in the men’s bathroom which hones…

Extremely over-rated, over-priced golf course. Pro shop staff was unfriendly, bordering on rude. Never took our golf cart off the path a single time all day, yet got 3 annoying messages to immediately return to the cart path. Also got very annoying messages about repairing ball marks in the carts gps system. Troon courses are usually better managed. Apparent they are more concerned about only making money and have no regard for the patrons experience.

This is a wonderful course to play if you are in the area. Very scenic and a good challenge. The staff was friendly and helpful . The rough is very thick and the greens are large and roll true. As someone mentioned previously the tee boxes are uneven and need work. It is a very uncomfortable feeling teeing off when the ball is above your feet. Should not happen . Still a very enjoyable round and I look forward to playing again .

Gorgeous course! The front 9 plays thru the valley and is pretty open. But watch out, this course will eat balls, you will see it land, see it from a distance, then get there and it's gone! Lol! The back 9 (mountain course) was what you look for when searching for mountain courses. Amazing views and lots of elevation changes.
