In summary

Longhills Golf Course is appreciated for its enjoyable layout and friendly staff, offering a unique and fun experience for casual golfers. However, many visitors express concerns about the course's maintenance, citing issues with greens, tee boxes, and fairways being in poor condition, which detracts from the overall playability. While some find the course a worthwhile visit for its design and atmosphere, others are disappointed with the lack of upkeep and suggest improvements are needed.

Longhills gets 4 stars from me only b/c the course design is fun, and plus I'm not a real serious golfer. The condition of the course overall is more like a 2-3 star though. Several of greens were in very poor condition with large amounts of dead areas full of sand and where there was grass it was overgrown making them incredibly slow and unpredictable. If you're used to well manicured courses then I stay away from here. But if you're like me and just out there to hit some balls and have fun with the crew then the course is worth a try. Hopefully Lindsey management will put some effort into ma…

Remarkable experience. As you pull into Augusta way, you are in for an experience. The tee boxes were so strong a divot wasn't possible. The fairways and rough just rolled together in one landscape. The greens/sand traps creates a unique putting experience. Tee boxes 6 and 18c, flying over the 5th green gives an almost hunting like experience.

Went to play a round here yesterday and started to pay with Cash $$$ and the guy said we don't take cash, I asked why and he didn't have a answer and why would he that's the craziest thing I've ever heard of. He let me and money walk right out the door. Insane.

For the rate you pay, especially the weekend, the greens are poor at best. Bumpy, postmarked with weeds, bare spots, sandy spots, unlevel, over half the time they havent been cut. This makes them wildly inconsistent and they do not roll true. I suggest they close the course for 4-6 weeks, sand them heavy to get them level, grow out the good grass that is left, punch out plugs of all the weeds, and what didn't fill in mark in white paint as ground under repair until it is healthy. The layout is fun and if you can get it for less than 20 bucks on the Golfnow app then its worth it. Don't have hig…

been here before, in the past the course looked good. for the price you pay to play the course is overgrown, the greens are dirt, and the carts were not clean prior to us using it.

The friendliness of the staff is the one and only positive. Truly, they are always awesome. It's not enough to get this above 1 star. This is the worst golf course I have ever played. Greens are 50% sand. Played a lot of ground under repair today. Course was aerated at some point and the dirt pellets were left in place. So every tee box you're kicking dirt pellets out of the way, trying to find a decent place to stand. Grass very sparse. Have to play the ball up everywhere. Design is terrible, as well. Extremely narrow - course fit into housing development and not enough room existed. Resu…

I'm the TEETIMETRUCKER, and I play Golf all across the Country and I must say that this Course is in HORRIBLE CONDITION! The Layout is fantastic, but the condition of this Course is SAD! I read the reviews before I went to the Course, but still decided to go because sometimes the reviews can be WRONG! But in this case they wasn't wrong. Some of the Tee Boxes were so hard, you couldn't get your Tee in the ground. And the Fairways were like hitting off of BRICKS! And if you were in the Rough, it was mainly rocks, and dirt. If you want to play here for practice........then fine! But if you enjoy…

Beautiful high vaulted ceilings and brick or rock homes. Golf and nice maintenance lawns. Our family and friends love it

I went to Long Hills for 18 years and enjoyed every trip.I’m a group of 4to18 players that was there I believe every July or August. The owners( Jeff & Bud ) where the best of everything you could ask for. The people that also worked at the shop were excellent. Our trip started with Four days for three years than went to a week. I wouldn’t have wanted to go anywhere else. These was long before the new additions with the course. 🐿️⛳️🏌🏿‍♂️

It’s sad to see what has become of this place…. What was once one of the best public golf courses in the area has been beaten down and is a shadow of its former self. Lindsey Management and the superintendent out there have absolutely destroyed it. Range is a dirt patch, greens are literally unplayable and the tee boxes are a reflection of the range. It’s just sad to see. I personally wish they would just make it a 9 hole course so at least the golf that’s there could be higher quality. I know I’m just one golfer…but I don’t believe I’ll be going back.

I’m visiting from Texas and thought I would take a day off and visit a golf course. I was very happy I did because this course was an absolute joy to play. The price was $25 with a cart and that is an excellent deal. The staff is friendly and the other golfers were as well. The course is challenging with a lot of trees and the fairways are well maintained. The greens are fast here though which added to the challenge. If I’m ever back in town I will try and make a stop here.
