Lions Den Golf Club is often praised for its challenging layout, beautiful scenery, and friendly staff, making it a must-visit for many golf enthusiasts. However, several reviews point out issues with course maintenance, particularly the condition of the greens and fairways, which some find disappointing. Despite these concerns, many visitors appreciate the unique experience and the overall atmosphere of the club.

This place is a must play if you are in the area. A really neat course that’s fun to play. Great ladies course design. Friendly staff with wonderful hospitality. Down home feel. Really cool golf course and John Daly sounds like a really nice guy who hangs out here often. Playing with his own personal clubs that we rented was a highlight. Need to return in spring and fall.

Love this course, great staff - very friendly and helpful. Greens are little rough but play straight for the most part. Lots of woods outside the fairways and water. A very challenging course no matter your skill level.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A True Gem in the River Valley - The Lion's Den Golf Club! The Lion's Den Golf Club in Dardanelle is an absolute must-play for any golf enthusiast visiting the Arkansas River Valley. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with a sense of history and a beautifully rugged terrain that makes for one of the most unique and challenging rounds in the state. The course layout is fantastic, with impressive elevation changes and strategic hole designs that reward thoughtful play. The back nine, in particular, offers some breathtaking views—it's easy to see why this course has such a legendary…

Someone needs to get John out of Happy Gilmore garage asap. This course needs some serious attention. It’s so beautiful but the greens are cheeks at best. Two putt and take your ball to the next hole. I’m so let down to know such a treasure isn’t being kept up. I’m a huge fan of Daly but this is just comical. Here are some highlights and I do mean highlights of the course.

08/20/24. Overall greens have gotten better given the summer heat and how they were around this time last year. Some still have sand but they’re putt-able cause there isn’t as much sand as before. Staff was friendly and maintenance was out and about putting the work in to improve the place. Busiest I’ve seen the course in a while too.

Fantastic course. Hard as all get out if you’re from the flatland of southeast TX like we are. Drove 10 hours to play and was absolutely taken back at the views. We had a great time. Tiger has done a lot for the game, but Daly has done so much for the regular Joe playing golf and we appreciate it and can not wait to see how it looks after some TLC. Staff was so helpful and friendly.

The woman at the front, Roxy, was extremely unkind to me and my partner. The course is nice to play, but the way she treated paying customers was a very disappointing experience. No professionalism whatsoever.

This has been a bucket list course for me for quite some time. My wife and I were in Hot Springs this weekend and decided to take a side trip Sunday morning to come play the lions den. $40 green fee that included a cart I was not too optimistic, especially after reading some of the reviews, but I am happy to say that I was very very wrong. Most of the greens, and some of the tee boxes need a fair amount of work, but as a whole, the course is beautiful. It is challenging, well kept, and the scenery is amazing. Staff was very kind and very helpful. Definitely make an a point to come back next ti…

I was very excited to play this course. Asked over facebook to confirm my tee time, drove 90min, and was told in the Pro Shop that the greens were not playable. Well..we drove all this way so we played. Every green was ruined from the "winter". After reading the reviews more thoroughly, this was a problem in 2022. Seems as if maybe new management is needed. This course has beautful views and would hate to see it not suceed.

Just played it today. Had been looking forward to playing it since last year when I found out that he had a course Just outside of Russellville. When I got there, they were Grass clippings from the fairway and fresh blown all over the middle of the Practice green and then it was mowed back over and no flags out on it. I thought OK they just haven’t blown it off all let that go. But when I walked in, it was like I was disturbing their break in the pro shop. They were driving about the other one, not mowing and being inside sitting for an hour granted it was hot. But you don’t do that. Almost li…
