Lakeside Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained fairways, smooth greens, and friendly staff, offering a challenging layout with a mix of elevation changes and scenic views. Many appreciate the historic clubhouse and reasonable pricing, including special deals. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about inconsistent maintenance, particularly with overgrown fairways and tee boxes, and occasional issues with course design and upkeep.

What a beautiful golf course! I played this course on September 30th along my annual golf trip road trip from Washington State to my hometown of East Liverpool, Ohio. Great layout with a variety of terrain - a somewhat tight and challenging front nine with some fun elevated tee boxes - to a more level back nine lined with beautiful trees and embraced by tranquil farmland. Well-kept fairways, and the greens were as immaculate as any of the best of 274 courses I've played! I loved the old historic clubhouse - what a treasure - very cozy and unique! Great staff - Skip, Gavin and Hallie were very…

This is by far and away the worst course I’ve played..they didn’t cut “fairways” in at least 3 weeks to a month. “Fairways”were anywhere from 2”-5” high. Crab grass all over the tee boxes and “fairways”,and some were 8”-12” tall. Couldn’t find your ball if you hit it 75 yards away and watch where it dropped. Greens which used to be VERY good were slower than molasses. They will say they couldn’t mow because it rained a lot (which it did)but that is a lie. Either the mowers were broken or they are flat out lazy. I showed pics to a couple of greens keepers and they said no way that grass was mow…

Visited this course in September. We had an excellent time. The course was in great shape, except the tee boxes were not well manicured. Greens rolled true and fairways were wonderful to hit from. Well worth the money. Staff is very friendly.

I didn't really like this course the first time I played it, but after playing a few more times, I have come to appreciate it. The back nine can feel like you're just walking through a converted cornfield at times. The holes are actually pretty fun though and they keep the conditions nice on the greens, fairways and tee boxes. Front nine is much more fun with more elevation changes and a few raised greens and elevated tee shots.

Had a great time. Nice grounds, challenging course and helpful staff. My only problem was the price of beer. $12 a six pack!

This course should be closed. They have put no money into it. It is a pasture with dandelions everywhere including the greens apron short grass. Weeds everywhere. People were losing balls within 3 feet of the fairway the grass/weeds were a mess. We have been golfing there on a Marietta golf trip for over 20 years. This year is our last on that course.

Same as last year fairway grass ridiculous and rough ridiculous. Lack of upkeep makes this once favorite course of mine not a course I'm playing again this year. Maybe next year.

Decent course and with some fun holes. The potential is there. I try not to be too judgmental because it’s hard to find good help and run a golf course in 2023, but at least keep the tee boxes mown.

Great course. Some "devoted fans" drive 100+ miles twice a year. Others (like me) fly 1800 miles twice a year for this terrific course basically in the middle of nowhere. Friendly staff, reasonable fees, and don't miss the play-all-day special which includes drinks (beer included) and food. My only complaints: - Be careful driving the cart down from #4 tee. - Don't hit your drive on #11 or #18 into the cornfields. Malachi will devour your soul.

Nice golf course south of Beverly Ohio. Some of the fairways were a little dry, but with not having any rain lately that is to be expected.

Lakeside is a well maintained, 18 hole course. They have nice carts. Not much for “scenery” but a nice, well priced course.
