Absolutely great Course, I would have liked to have played it 40 years ago, must have been the best in Central Florida. May not currently be at it's best but importantly the Greens are OK and the fees match it's current status so no issues, great value. Staff are friendly and helpful. At present, my favourite Course. Lake wales has great affordable prices for golfers who like to play fast. Due to this course not being that crowded, getting the right tee time makes for a speedy round. The condition varies, depending on time of year. I really enjoy holes #4, 5 and 6. This Donald Ross course is well designed, but if the condition could match design, it would be that much more enjoyable.

Lake Wales County Club is the best kept demongraphic's community available, reasonable, respectful, up scale for the sincere and dedicated at heart.

Well… I’m pretty sure Donald Ross didn’t intend for these conditions when he built the course a 100 years ago. It’s soooo bad. The first red flag was the dilapidated bag drop. The 2nd one was the empty proshop. The tee boxes are 2/3 bare. The fairways are (if you can even define were they start and stop) is patchy. By patchy l mean you need to find a patch of grass that exists. When the app asked if l landed in the fairway l wanted to answer - maybe… The bunkers are semi-defined, but thin. The greens were coated with this fine sand/powder mix. When you putt it would leave a trail, but usually…

I really enjoy coming down here to stay with our grandparents and playing this course. The green fees are very affordable, and the course is kept fairly well. The grass tends to get a bit dry in spots, but overall the course is in decent condition. This course offers some very difficult holes that take a good amount of skill to maintain par. Overall this is a pretty nice course!

Don't drive passed this hidden gem. We didn't golf, just stopped to eat. Our food was fresh and made to order. It was scrumptious. Our server, Kenzie, I think, was delightful and efficient. If I had one issue it would be the wine. It's just ok. But there's a full bar, so try something else. It's now our new stop for lunch in Lake Wales.

My Rotary club comes to the Country Club on a regular basis for lunch. Staff is friendly and accommodating to our group's needs and the food here is really good. Appreciate their specials. My favorite food items include chicken quesadilla, onion rings, and the chef salad which I had yesterday. I also hear they do tacos really well. Even though it seems formal the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. The restaurant is open to the public.

I tried so much to like it but the workers just don't care. The lady on the register is so nice, but everytime I go now I am just disappointed. I don't even care to drive back and complain. I am just gonna have to find somewhere else to get what Botanas used to have. 😔

The course appears to be experiencing a resurgence. I make annual visits to Lake Wales, and this course is the most convenient option for me. At approximately $30 after 1 PM, including a cart, it is a favorable choice, especially considering the alternative of a longer commute in traffic. While the greens are slow and show some spotting, they remain playable. The tee boxes and fairways are somewhat overgrown, likely a deliberate strategy to promote recovery through overseeding. I am saddened and disappointed with the service I received on 06/19/2025. At about 5:30pm, I was approached by a staff member by the name of Rodney. He preceded to rush me because he was ready to leave. There was no other players on the course in front or behind me, so I was taking my time. I hit a couple on balls off the 18th tee and then gathered them. Well, Rodney disapproved of me hitting multiple balls off the tee and I was taking my time (why not, there was no one around). I let Rodney know how I felt about the situation then I left. I go to this course once or twice a week. I never comp…

It is an older establishment and a little run down. Went for dinner and had reservations. When we entered the dining area, no one greeted us or seated us. Only two people to wait on the entire dining customers. Food was just average but our server was very sweet and efficient.

The staff is very accommodating!!👍⛳️ My son and I play there just about every fri.
