In summary

Laguna Lake Municipal Golf Course is appreciated for its affordable pricing, friendly staff, and well-maintained greens, making it an excellent choice for beginners and casual players. The 10-hole layout, primarily consisting of short par 3s and a couple of par 4s, offers a straightforward and enjoyable golfing experience. However, some visitors have noted issues with course maintenance, such as bumpy greens and overgrown areas, as well as the long-term closure of the clubhouse due to storm damage.

I played 12-16-2024, early morning round. It’s actually a 10 hole which was a happy surprise when walking off the 9th green. I’m rating it 5 stars not only because the course is fun and has creative hole designs. Course conditions are lush and the GREENS were excellent. The GREENS are elevated which I really enjoyed. They also have a good sized driving range! I’d give the 2 guys I met and the whole team 10 STARS cause you can tell they work hard at making it an enjoyable experience. I recommend it!!

A simple inexpensive course run by the city. It cost us about 12 bucks a person for a regular adult 10 hole round. The course is mostly 90 to 120 yard holes, par 3's with a couple canyon shots for extra challenge. No sand traps which can be nice for beginners. Unfortunately the last couple years the course maintenance has disrupted play a little bit. The green aeration has made some of them very dry and bumpy, and their out of bounds areas have gotten overgrown enough you can lose a ball that you see every step of flight (less of a problem for players that aren't terrible like me 😋) The mai…

Great time with some friends, $13 for the 9holes if you’re a student. Definitely not perfect but great for beginners or casual games

Unbeatable prices! Great beginner and family friendly course. We had four adults and two kids just learning. Had a fun day!

For the right type of golfers, this is a fine place to play some (10) holes, 2 of which are short par 4s. The course is well kept, the staff is friendly, the holes are straightforward, and the greens putt well. It's really an irons course and likely a good intro course or mellow/short day course. The longest hole is #1 at 244y. As of 9/17/19, hole #7 is closed for repair...they let you play another hole twice. They have some clubs to rent if you need. There is a driving range to hit into nets if you want.

10 hole par 3 course. Took an instructional golf class at Laguna Lake through Cal Poly. Played the course once every week for 10 weeks. Course is very nice and well kept, and staff is always available and helpful. Good price and student discounts to go with it!

NO REFUNDS. NO MARSHALLS. Nobody pairs up. Nobody knows etiquette. I wont ever play it again. If you're any decent at golf, skip this course. We were going to have a 3 hour round if my buddy and I went out! Its stupid guys. Do better

Perfect price for a great course. Honestly, it can't get much better. Well maintained, good for the shorter game. Never too crowded, and the staff is always friendly.

Tried to rent a walking cart at 2:20. Was told to wait while a shift change occurred. Went to pay and ask for walking cart rental. Was told no rentals after 2:15. Large sign in trailer and website read: "Driving Range closes at 4:00 PM with last small bucket sold at 3:30 p.m. We offer electric carts, push carts, and rental clubs. Last rentals at 2:30 p.m." Overall terrible experience, nicer, better and less expensive courses within 10 minuets.

If you have an hour and you would like to hang out with friends and hit a few golf shots this is a great place. If you're looking to spend 4 and a serious golf game, go to an 18-hole course.

This course used to be respectable. The clubhouse has been closed for years and looks like it will never close. The greens are bumpy and not taken care of. I played this course 4-5 years ago and the first 2 holes were short par 4s which made the course a little interesting. After the bad storm months ago they shortened the first while and got rid of the 2nd. I assumed they would work on repairing it but just like the dilapidated clubhouse. Whoever is in the charge should be embarrassed of what it is now.
