Really nice golf course, especially for the price. Fairways and tee boxes are well maintained. Bent grass greens that roll smooth. Multiple tee boxes makes it a challenge for any skill level, the course plays a bit longer than the yardages on the card because of all the dog leg holes. The maintenance crew out there does a fantastic job. First time playing and I must say can’t beat it for the price, check it out.

Course is adequately priced & course conditions are pretty good. I want to mention the golf carts. Although GPS is nice the fact that these carts beep at you and stop forward movement when you’re on the cart path is absolutely ridiculous. I’ve played here 4 times in the last month. Twice now on a par 3 where you wouldn’t be anywhere other than the cart path the cart shut down & had to back up way back to get it to go forward. Today was cart path only. Hole 2. On the cart path. Tee off. Pull forward and it beeps and doesn’t move. Golf is a mental game and when you’re frustrated because you can’…

We played after a recent rain and the course was sloppy. It's not a tough layout, easily playable. I don't know how Ling it takes to dry out after a rain but better drainage probably would make for a better course

The Valley is one of the nicest municipal courses around. It's really improved in recent years, and they're consistently doing things to make it better. During hot summer days, they're out watering the greens multiple times throughout the day, which might be a little annoying if you have to wait to hit your shot, but its worth it to have good, healthy greens! I highly recommend this course.

Nice course and a great value. Greens were recently aerated but still playable. Some blind shots that made it tough for a first time out. Only real issue was the tee boxes were rock hard, almost couldn't get the tee in on most. Would play here again for the value.

A great course at a great price. Awesome design and layout. Many of shots to be made or missed😆. The only real issue I saw was several greens were very blotchy and quite a few ball marks. People! Please! Repair your ball marks and if you would just repair one more mark for every green, Or just one if you never hit the green LOL. Imagine how many greens could be awesome!

Other than the 8th green which has some damage due to heat, the course is in great shape. For a public course owned by the city of Burlington NC, I say your doing a great job. Staff is friendly & helpful, the pro shop & buildings are are a nice place to hang out after the round is over. A hidden little gem for the bogey golfer.

Owned by the city of Burlington, The Valley Golf Course is a great risk reward golf course. Designed by the famous course architect Ellis Maples, this course overs plenty of shot variety whereby you must shape your shots off the tee and hit about every club in your bag during a round of golf! Conditions are good and it is a great course to begin your golfing journey. Also, the course offers a driving range, short game area and putting green. The staff is friendly and the carts have gps on them that help you navigate the golf course. If you are looking for a fun golf course at an affordable wee…

Good course I play here a lot and I had one of the first tee times and 5 workers circled us our whole round. They won’t stop and drive by while you are hitting and mowers don’t move out of fairways and they will water the green while you are on it and pretend like you aren’t even there. This has happened multiple times to us even in the afternoon. The staff ruined my round and I definitely won’t be back.

Great value. Course was in good shape even with all the recent rain and flooding. Bunkers were all perfect. Fun course, not too long. Definitely worth the trip out from Raleigh.
