What People Say

In summary

Hudson Hills Golf Course is frequently praised for its beautiful scenery and challenging layout, offering a well-maintained course with scenic views and a variety of difficult holes. The staff and amenities, including a good restaurant, generally receive positive feedback. However, some visitors mention high fees, slow pace of play, and issues with customer service, as well as the lack of a driving range and the course's hilly terrain, which can be physically demanding.

Beautiful course with great scenery and well kept fairways. Very wooded which makes for a tight and somewhat challenging course. Thick ruff (play with balls you won't mind losing). Unfortunately there is no driving range, they have a small cage and a decent putting green. Overall a nice place to enjoy a round of golf.

One of the best, and one of the most challenging courses in Westchester/NYC Metro region. I’ve played this course a couple of times and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The rough on the course is as tough as any championship course out there—it’s a hilly and narrow course, and the greens give you another run for your money. Speaking of money, unless you’re a resident of Westchester county, the rates are tremendously high for a muni-course—this was the only (serious) wrinkle in my experience, but the dates do come with complimentary carts equipped with GPS. However, you can get a deal after 3p via…

This is a fantastic public course! I have played many public and private courses and found this one to be one of the better public ones. I played on a weekday and easily finished in 4 hours (with a cart). The views/scenery were a big plus as well. Beware though, this course is challenging. For the first time in my life I had to buy balls at the turn after losing so many on the front 9. So for a novice golfer this course will be frustrating, but for intermediate and above golfers this will be a difficult but fun round. I will definitely be returning again soon.

A challenging public golf course. Discount available with a Westchester County Park Pass. Some Par 3 holes are not as challenging as other longer holes that include significant hills, wide rough areas and some water hazards. Uphill holes are very challenging. Some holes are as that challenging. Beautiful scenery.

Beautiful golf course. Challenges many golf skills. Course was in great shape. Could use Rangers as pace of play was slow.

The course itself is lovely, but I had a very disappointing experience with the pro shop. I left my pitching wedge on the course and called on 7/26. The staff confirmed they had the club. However, when I went back a couple of weeks later to pick it up, they told me it was no longer there. What’s most frustrating is that the story changed—first confirming they had it, then later denying responsibility. Instead of resolving the issue, it felt like they shifted blame rather than being accountable. Very disappointing customer service, which unfortunately overshadows what is otherwise a nice cours…

Time of play is like a private course. It’s double the cost of every other county course but I’m my opinion well worth it. The pro shop and everyone you meet there is to make your round and experience better the best crew in the county. Carts only. The play is always fantastic. Do it ! They will make you happy you’ve played there. No easy layout,,,, but who wants easy? Play it. You’ll be back !!!

Course was well kept and in good shape but the do not allow golf carts are only allowed on the cart paths so you wind up doing a lot of walking and, this course - Hudson HILLS - is very well named. Lots of going up and down. My legs were sore the next day. That’s never happened to me when I golfed previously.

One of the nicest public courses I have played. The best part was the turkey club at the club house after the 9th hole. It was actually the best I’ve ever had. That’s chef at the club house needs a Michelin Star. The bread was toasted to perfection and sweet potato fries were actually crack! Update 10.12.19 I came back to Hudson Hills today with 3 new people. They all obviously got the turkey club for lunch. They unanimously agreed that the sandwich lived up to the hype. The one downside was my friend accidentally ordered regular fries instead of sweet potato fries. What a rookie! Give the…

This is a pretty unique course in my experience. Great views. It was in pretty good but not great shape. Some of the forced lay-ups aren't my cup of tea. I'd play again but it wouldn't be my first choice. Get ready for a workout even in a cart.
