In summary

Hollywood Beach Golf Resort receives mixed reviews from visitors. Many appreciate the friendly staff and reasonable pricing, with some noting the course layout as enjoyable and challenging. However, there are frequent criticisms regarding the course's maintenance, including poor greens, patchy fairways, and inadequate facilities, which detract from the overall experience for some players.

Completely redone, way better than before. Some dry patches outside of the fairways but the greens were rolling pretty good, always could be slightly faster. Reminds me of a mini Miami Lakes renovation. Challenging stretch of 3-4 holes where you have to place the ball perfectly as water is everywhere. Well worth the $50 price for premier card.

Worst course I’ve ever played, hands down. Current pictures on google are so far from reality. All attendants were very nice, but the state of disrepair that this course is in is unimaginable. If you plan on bringing clubs down to Hollywood/Fort Lauderdale to play this course, think again. Tee boxes were 50% sand and dirt. Could barely see the cut between fairway and rough. Non existent fringe, trash and debris EVERYWHERE. Most bunkers without rakes, greens were so bad I stopped putting after the first hole and just practiced chipping the rest of the round.

It’s a very fun course to practice and play . Overall course conditions variate , but greens are usually nasty. The personal and staff is amazing. The price is reasonable and the restaurant burgers are very good

We took a tee time around 5:15pm, the golf cart was ready and all the team was very friendly. The golf course is well maintained. I think that we were very close from the road for some hole, and there was people walking very near the fairway…

I am not sure why this has so many 5 star reviews. This is not a five star course, not even close. I am not saying it is all bad but if someone is looking to play here they should honestly know what they are getting. From the fairway to the "rough" there is no difference. Some of the tee boxes were covered in so much sand it was almost like being in a fairway bunker. The greens are in really rough shape, some of fast, some slow and most are patchy. All that being said, the staff was friendly, nice and got us off quickly. If you are looking for a cheaper option to play 18 this is definitely t…

I was walking as always and today I was hit by a golf ball at Johnson st! Lay on the ground for couple minutes and nobody cares! BE AWARE ABOUT the golf ball!

They had made some real progress with the course conditions here over the past year or so, but as of May 30 it was mostly back to poor shape. Dried-out turf, many bald spots and weeds in fairways (see photos). Greens are really rough. Sad to see.

This was by far one of the worst golf courses I have ever played at. $30+ to play here should be a crime. Greens are in horrible condition. The fairways consist of mainly sand or dead grass. The grass in the fringe was as tall as the rough and was basically impossible to chip out of. Not many hazards for your ball to get lost however there are many hazards to look out for on the course. I was attacked by fire ants not once but twice. For a couple of holes you cross super old bridges that are basically falling apart. For the price you pay to play here it seems like none of that money goes back…

My son just recently took on golf and I took him here on vacation and it’s very much a good ol boys club where they don’t like anyone new. Every staff member acted as if they did t want our business. The pro shop manager was a jerk about everything and then sent us to some degenerate to get us our clubs and cart who asked “have you even golfed before” and “next time you really should wear a collared shirt”. The quality of the course looked like winter just ended in Michigan….find somewhere else!

Make sure you bring bug spray ! This course is surrounded by water and you play around the sewage plant. Interesting smell every once and awhile. The course has a lot of dry spots and the greens are bumpy. Watch out for the gators too.

My wife and I were in town for a few days and hoping to get a round in. Easy online booking process. Very reasonable rates and great layout of the course. Fun and playable. Great staff...from the pro shop attendant to the starter to the cart-lady, who has food, beer and mixed drinks. And we even stopped in the restaurant for a tasty sandwich and beers to calculate the damage. Great day from start to finish. Highy suggest this place for a laid back, enjoyable day

The staff was friendly and really nice. Everything else about this course is awful. I should have read the reviews more carefully. Poorly maintained. Horrid tee boxes. Concrete-like bunkers. Greens rough rough rough. $25 for rental clubs that were old and beat up. Voiced my thoughts very politely to the young man at the shop. He agreed it needs reno but didn’t even offer an apology. Cheap but you get less than what you pay for.
