In summary

Hail Ridge Golf Course is praised for its challenging layout, friendly and accommodating staff, and scenic setting, making it a favorite for many golfers. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about course maintenance, particularly the condition of the greens and rough, as well as issues with double booking leading to delays. Despite these challenges, the course offers a good mix of holes and is considered a worthwhile stop for golf enthusiasts.

Nice challenging course in is own right but I give it 4 stars because they need to mow the second cut out wider. Unless your ball stops in the fairway, even if you see where it rolls into the rough cut, your ball is lost. It's so thick you have to hope to step on the ball to find it. So be sure to bring extra balls.

Gonna have to agree with your most recent review on this one. No way to run a course. Beautiful place to play but you don’t double book like that and not expect someone to complain. Didn’t get to finish my round on Saturday. You can say all you want about hall of fame numbers but if I throw 20 chickens in a 5 chicken coop I can say that’s the most eggs I’ve had still some bs. Take some accountability buddy. Don’t hate your customers for complaining when the course gets double booked.

Had an issue/question when booking through GolfNow, Courtney( who answered the phone initially was helpful ). She was unable to answer my question however, so I was forwarded to Josh. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever had a worst customer service experience. Rude from the start. Obviously that turned into not being helpful at all and just leaves me with no interest in trying to come back. Has nothing to do with my issue not being resolved and everything to do with the guys attitude.

Fairway was struggling under heat this year. Also, the greens were aerated and tore up, so don’t plan on working on your short game here for the near future. In fact the greens are no fun to putt on right now. No sand traps. Good mix of par 3,4,5s. Water hazards on a few holes. Narrow, but paved cart paths. Holes follow a good flow that was natural to navigate from hole to next tee. Ground on fairways is very hard, so ball bounce is high, for better or worse. Fees seem a bit high for the quality.

Double booked multiple times and had a 30 minute delay just to tee off. Took an hour just to play 2 holes with pace of play being at practically a stand still. Will never play here again

The people here are quite nice and despite the weather we get they keep the greens pretty good. Tricky course, some tricky putts once you reach the green for most. Got some hills so get a cart.

Excellent layout with great contour. Staff was fantastic. Greens rolled great, despite limited mtc troubles.

Best staff in the county. Good track with some challenges and also a course where you can play up and have fun at all skill levels. Highly recommend playing it if you have the chance

For $39 including cart for this gem is absolutely five star! Every green except for one that they are working hard on is in great shape, so ignore any reviews from years past about their greens being crappy. And the guy running the pro shop and course is super cool and nice! Can't beat the location right off of i-70 (but you'd have no idea a highway is nearby) for a great road trip golf pit stop!

I have a membership at Hail Ridge and it's worth every penny. Teeing off and playing early in the day is so relaxing. On hole 7 I saw a family of otters and a beaver swimming!

One of my favorite places to play. Great layout and challenge. Staff is awesome. Greens have dramatically improved and run great. A great gem of a place and wish I got to play it more!
