In summary

French River Golf Resort receives high praise for its significant improvements under new ownership, with many highlighting the well-maintained course, true-rolling greens, and friendly staff. The 9-hole course is appreciated for its fair pricing and suitability for all skill levels, with amenities like a welcoming clubhouse and food options adding to the positive experience. However, a few criticisms include occasional rough course conditions and the need for better organization during busy times or events.

Played today. Its a fun course. Easy to follow, 9 holes. Even rain didn't stop us. Fairly priced, carts in good running order. Has a club house with food. Nice staff. Will be back.

Awesome course with awesome new owners!! Course has improved tremendously over the past 2 years and will continue to improve for years to come. Hands down the nicest course in the area and easily compares to some of the top courses a few hours around. Tight lines in the fairways, and fast and true greens make this the easy choice around.

I can’t even begin to describe how much this property has improved over the last year. The conditions in previous years were decent at best. Not sure whether there has been a change in ownership or maintenance personnel but I have to say…. The greens are rolling truer and quicker than ever before, the roughs are thicker, darker and more lush and the upkeep and neatness of the place has improved beyond recognition. It has become hard to find any imperfections on the greens surfaces or the property in general. I look forward to continuing to play over the Next few years and hopefully improve my…

Our family has been golfing at Voyageur for over 50 years. It is in the best condition it has ever been. The fairways are well cut and defined. The greens are in great shape, are fast and roll true. The staff are super friendly and we love the 🐶 !

This course has come a long way!!! The new owners really know what they are doing! I moved here 5 years ago and wouldn't even play this course back than. Now I have a membership and play a few times a week! The past few years of hardwork has really paid off! Keep up the great work!

Found this little gem of a golf course and so happy I did. The greens are top tear and very impressive. Specially for a small town public course. If you’re looking for fair priced golf out of the city with friendly clubhouse staff, my stop would be the Voyager for sure.

I haven’t played here since the new owners took over, and WOW. What a drastic improvement. The grass is green, the fairways have been opened up, the junk is gone, and the greens are nice and fast. The new owners friendly and accommodating, and the food/drinks are both great and affordable. If you haven’t been here in a while, just go over and see for yourself. Thank Rick and Dylan for the grass, and thank Bonnie and Hayley for the rest!

I've been playing Voyageur for over 20 years & it's always been a 'fun little course' to play on the weekends while I'm visiting camp. But over the last two years it's transformed into an absolute diamond in the rough. The course has never been in this great of shape. They now have striped fairways & fair but penalizing rough. The greens are fantastic, they are quick & roll true. I'd actually put the greens in the top 5 of Greater Sudbury right now (Idywylde, Timberwolf, Huron Pines, Lively, Voyageur). Also shoutout to new staff, who've been really friendly every time I've been there (especial…

This course is such a breath of fresh air. The new owners are the most positive and uprising people. The perfect pitch for the growing French River Community! The course is in better shape than it's ever been, and I speak for majority of the community, we all cant way to see the wonders yet to come. If you're driving by, trust me! It's worth a stop! :)

Great 9 hole course. The new owners are very kind and hardworking people. We always play here when we are up at the cottage for a weekend. They let my 3 year old ride with us in the cart which he loved. For the price of 9 & a cart no complaints at all!
