In summary

Forest Oaks Golf Club is appreciated for its challenging layout, featuring narrow fairways and strategic water hazards that test accuracy and course management skills. The staff is frequently praised for their friendliness and efforts to improve the course, and the club offers affordable rates and community-oriented events. However, some visitors have noted that the course conditions, particularly the fairways and greens, can be inconsistent, and there are occasional issues with pace of play and course maintenance.

The Forest Oaks Golf course had narrow fairways which made the game a bit harder but we did enjoy the challenge. Just wish the course was in a better condition in some spots.

Rest in peace Forest Oaks. Although it wasn’t the best course, I played here quite frequently. The price of $30 for a round of golf made it easy to keep coming back. I enjoyed playing here and having a fun, casual round of golf. The one guy who worked in the pro shop (can’t remember his name) always was friendly and made some good hot dogs. I will definitely miss playing this course and I was sad when I heard they were closing permanently

Very interesting course, first time i have played here. 6 par 3s, 6 par 5s. Course is short but a good amount of dogleggs and large water hazards requires strategic thinking. Narrow fairways!! Driver every hole not suggested. Greens in very good shape, the fairways and roughs are just okay. Live about 40 miles away, I don't golf up here very often. Would gladly return if I lived closer

Just played this course and the older reviews online do not do this course justice. The new owners are doing a great job and working hard to get the course in shape. They have frequent play offers and are building up a base of nice people who play there. Good value and best of all, super good people running it who are following their dream.

This is one of the worst golf courses I have ever played in my entire life. First, it’s in absolutely horrible condition. Even where there is grass, it’s just garbage. And I expected the course to be short, so that’s fine, but it’s completely ridiculous how narrow it is. I don’t know who actually had the dumb idea that a golf course could fit on this tiny piece of land between all these houses. The only positive things I can say about this course are that the greens are in pretty good shape and the one staff person that we met was very nice.

Tucked in between a residential community. This is a great course. It's a narrow course so it will help you work on your accuracy. Lots of trees for shade between shots. If looking for a good distance par 72 play the blues you won't regret playing this course.

The staff there were friendly which was about the only good thing about this place. Our round started with us having the sprinklers turned on on us right from the get go. The course is in rough shape, especially the greens which at times were impossible to putt true because it would appear they ran a knife through the middle of a couple of them. The fairways had a lot of dead spots as well. For $36 dollars I would look else where for golf as there are much nicer courses in the area for that price or less.

I played at Forest Oaks today for first time and I won’t go back. People there are nice but: Fairways are awful. Matted down throughout the course. Greens are are hard and even balls hit high won’t stay. Only good thing is greens fees are fairly inexpensive.

This is the hardest easy golf course in Palm Beach County. Grounds conditions: This course is pretty mixed. The greens are typically well maintained, but the fairway and rough are pretty dry/sandy. Some of the tee boxes are a bit domed, but generally they're fine. Amenities are pretty bare bones here. Staff/services: The place has a pretty 'ol boy' local vibe, which some may not like (I personally do). This is clearly a hangout for some very loyal regulars and the guys who run it seem real pleasant. It is not corporatized at all, and its one of the only places where you can damn near guarant…

I have been living alongside the 17th hole, and this is a busy course. I've spoken with some of the golfers and was surprised that some drive a fair distance to play here. I walk my dog along the sides of the fairways off hours (with doggie-do bags of course), and it's lovely, a lot of the original native trees preserved in natural copses unlike some other courses that were razed to begin with, then planted with whatever, and are "too perfectly" groomed. There is abundant birds, including the occasional roseate spoonbill and wood storks along the water features. The owners expect to break grou…

Fairways have zero give. Like concrete and impossible to take a divot. Tee boxes are domed. Greens ok, but all 25 "repair ball marks on greens" signs are ignored by everyone. Friendly staff. For the same price go play Palm Beach National. Differences are night and day. No I'll will intended just trying to leave an honest review.
