In summary

El Rio Golf Club receives mixed reviews, with some visitors appreciating its friendly staff, reasonable pricing, and enjoyable short course layout, particularly for practicing short games. However, many criticize the course's maintenance, citing issues with tee boxes, greens, and overall conditions, as well as slow pace of play and occasional customer service concerns. While some find the atmosphere welcoming and the course suitable for casual play, others feel the conditions do not justify the cost.

Good 18holes course. We love to play a round when we are in Cape Coral for holidaytime.

Nice reasonable Golf Course. $37.00 for 18 holes would a given it more but they are working on their tees so it shortened it down. Shortened the length down but still nice and expensive course.

Nice course here! Good upkeep and fair prices. Enjoyed the back 9 far more. Forgiving fairways. Clean and inviting clubhouse. I would recommend El Rio.

The 3 stars are for how beautiful this day itself is. The course is in rough shape. The pace of play is non-existent. Waiting time, minimum 10 minutes per hole. No ranger in sight. First time here. Last time here. It's a shame.

Short course rude manager My girlfriend and I played as twosome amongst three foursomes and manager sent an employee to tell us to hurry our play as people behind us were upset that we wouldn’t let more experienced golfers play thru and we were slow. Our husbands and friends were the ones behind us. We couldn’t shoot because handicap men were in front of us and we waited on every hole. Manager admitted he lied about situation . He put his finger in my face and said I was thin skinned He said he only confronted us and no men on course. So not cool Roy, your apology was lame. You appear very pr…

Very short par 3 course which isn’t clearly advertised. Might be good if you never use a driver, but not maintained very well either. Me and my friend were both very disappointed.

The staff is awful. They always look upset that someone walked in the door. They can’t wait to leave. 3 hours of daylight left and they close the driving range. Avoid this place it sucks!

Showed up to play a round with a friend here and couldn’t even get through 3 holes. The tee boxes were nothing but sand and the greens were dirt. Went into the pro shop to speak with the staff about possibly just getting a partial refund for unplayable conditions and were told that was not possible. I wouldn’t recommend this course to anyone even if a tee time was $5.

Played yesterday and course was in terrible shape. $32 for 18 is pathetic considering the tee boxes and greens. They should rename this place the Goat Yard because of how chewed up everything was. Should be $15 max and maybe they’d fill a tee sheet. Not sure how a golf course in Florida is this bad. Will NEVER be returning.

I had an amazing time at El Rio Golf Course, and it just got even better with a hole-in-one on hole #3! The course is beautifully maintained, challenging yet fair, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to come back for more rounds. Highly recommend for golfers of all levels!

Course is a little rough but good enough for me and the 15 year d daughter to work on our short games!
