What People Say

In summary

Eastwood Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained conditions, attractive layout, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for both locals and visitors seeking an affordable golfing experience. The course offers a range of amenities, including a pro shop and practice facilities, contributing to its value. However, some visitors have noted occasional slow pace of play and minor maintenance issues, such as worn cart paths and teeboxes, but these do not significantly detract from the overall positive experience.

Really impressed with this course — especially for a city course. We were surprised how good of shape it was in. The course was well maintained and the scenery throughout was really pretty, which made the round even more enjoyable. The clubhouse was nice and the pro shop was great — lots of options for balls, shirts, shoes, and other gear. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. Pace of play was going really well, especially considering the course was packed on New Year’s Day. Overall, it was an all-around great experience and we would definitely golf here again.

A solid and very playable municipal course. Wide fairways, straightforward layout, and generally good pace of play. Conditions are decent for the price — fairways ok, greens a bit slow but soft and easy to hold. Some bunkers and cart paths could use attention, but nothing major. Practice areas and clubhouse are simple, yet fully functional. Overall a relaxed, no-frills place that offers great value for a quick, stress-free round.

We had a late afternoon teetime and the rate was $50 w/cart. We were able to play 14 holes on a course with nice fairways and very nice greens. Some of the teeboxes were pretty beat up but who cares when the ball is on a tee.

Well maintained city owned and run public course. Reservations can be made up to 7 days in advance online or 1 day in advance by calling. Efficient starter system with practice greens and driving range while you wait. Lots of water holes as expected with slow greens. Good course for the money.

Eastwood Golf Course is a really nice public course in Fort Myers For the price, it’s one of the better values in the area, especially compared to some of the private courses. Staff is friendly and helpful and pro shop is well-run, and the driving range and practice greens are great to warm up before your round. Pace of play can get a little slow on busy days, but overall it’s a smooth experience. If you’re looking for an affordable, well-maintained course with a relaxed vibe, Eastwood is a solid choice. Great for both locals and visitors

I love Eastwood. Terrific course that we have played for over 3 years on golf trips. But the two gents in the pro shop are jerks. We overheard the slick back guy say to one of the rangers over the walkie talkie “Well if you’d opened your ears you would’ve heard me.” That’s the type of guy he is. They charged my card twice for my morning tee time (which they refunded me in cash..), and when we went to take advantage of the replay rate, they said that because we booked a second tee time to which we would replay, we wouldn’t get the replay rate. Why hasn’t this been an issue over the past 3 years…

Nice course, well maintained, staff excellent. Flew in from out of town, the “premium rental clubs” $50 for too flights lol I can say he did hook me up with some balls

This is a great public course and cheaper than most options in the surrounding area. During their off season, it’s $60 before 3:30pm to play 18 and $30 after 3:30pm to play 18! We paid $60 for 9 around 10:30am, with a cart. Not bad. They do have a driving range! They do have a lot of doglegs on the front 9, some water, narrow fairways and trees but even with a beginner we were able to make our way around the course without losing too many balls. I would definitely come back. The staff in the club house could be more friendly, but that’s my only complaint.

Beautiful greens. Nicely kept fairways. Excellent course for the price. Some of the cart paths could use some work but to be expected. Golf carts are relatively quiet so makes for less distractions while playing. Overall, great course!

Nice city course with a small driving range and reasonable priced tee times. Course is kept in good condition. They have a cart girl and food and drinks at the turn.

I like this course in general and play here fairly often. However, as they have raised the price 17.6% to ride this season, my expectations increase as well. While the price is less than most other options, they need to make improvements. Since they now have all this extra money they could fix all the dead spots on tees and fairways, buy more rakes so they could be in traps not on carts, employ rangers who will improve pace of play rather than driving around trying to avoid eye contact and filling out paperwork but never hurrying slow groups along, fixing cart paths and widening them from the…

For the money a nice golf course. Back 9 has wider fairways. Front 9 a little narrower. Overall course was in good shape. Nice clubhouse.
