In summary

Eagle Trace Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained greens, challenging layout, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for golfers of various skill levels. The course, owned by Morehead State University, is noted for its affordability and scenic setting. However, some visitors express concerns about the condition of the bunkers, which are being allowed to grow in due to budget constraints, and occasional issues with course etiquette and cart availability.

Course was in great shape. Tee boxes were a little rough on some holes but only so much can be done about that with little rain over the last 2 months. Greens rolled really true, fairways well maintained, and the rough wasnt too crazy. Narrow fairways and angled fairways, and wall placed hazards made it so you had to be careful with your shot selection For the price of this course and the shape it was in its definitely worth it!

This course is a big improvement over the one when I was at Morehead 1972 to 1976

Greens we're nice, rolled true. Fairways we're in good condition and the Caleb Castle guy was a sweetheart. However his swing was a wee over the top. Also im not going to dock the course any stars but there is a white/asian in his mid 20s that said a 16 year old is hot. BE AWARE.

Course was in really nice shape(except there is no sand in any of the bunkers; they are letting grass grow in all). Staff was super friendly and hospitable. Course play really fast. We will be back.

This is a nice course and the staff is great. The course is in great need of additional funding. It is estimated that they lose over hundred thousand dollars a year by not selling alcohol, this would help with their buget, allowing them to make additional improvement such as leveling tee boxes.

No carts after 4pm. They said. I was a single. I asked what the advantage that the foursome going off 10 had to play at a faster pace than me playing 9. Thos course is turning to trash, no management and it's like a big fraternity party .

Second time playing this course on cross country trips. The layout and design are, or were, good. Smaller angled greens, some narrow fairways, and elevation changes. Five sets of tees the longest at 6900, and angled to the fairway as you get longer, allow it to cater to all skills. Unfortunately, almost all the sand traps are being taken out of play due to budget restraints. This will drastically change the intent of the architects, primarily in the approach shots. Sits in a newer subdivision and the home course of Morehead State. It's also the only good course in the area so I don't know why…

Course was saturated due to rain but still fun to play. I worked there on the grounds crew in college and just wish the university would put some money into it, it could be a gold mine. Clubhouse mngr, Justin, and Superintendent, Rian, do a great job running the place. I wish I could get back more often to play.

Always in good shape. Owned by Morehead State University and usually staffed by students. Challenging course, but very playable.

Course is in good shape and has value for the price but they really need to work on emphasizing course etiquette....I've played numerous times as a single and rarely will a foursome let you play through...carts not following paths....people not repairing ball marks....very inconsiderate players here....
