In summary

Eagle Trace Golf Club receives mixed feedback from visitors. Some appreciate the friendly staff, casual atmosphere, and the course's fun layout, noting improvements in maintenance and good value for money. However, many criticize the course's poor condition, including unkempt greens and bunkers, slow pace of play, and inadequate facilities, which detract from the overall experience.

Thinking of coming out for a nice weekend round? Do not come here unless you have time to play a 6,500 yard course in a 5.5 hour round. The course is awful condition. Burnt fairways. Inconsistent greens. They put the pin next to a very obvious gash on the green… for fun? Overgrown bunkers. Bunkers that don’t have grass in them have limited sand. Not a pace marshal in sight. Bar cart was broken. This course should be half price with the condition it is in. I left on 13 after 4.5 hours as I had to be somewhere. I called the shop to ask for someone to send out a cart as you would think they could…

Eagle Trace is home to the worst taken care of golf course i have ever seen. Coming in, there was nobody at the pro shop so I had to check in at the bar. It’s less expensive than other courses, but you are still wayyyyy over charged for the course. There’s no resident discount and the junior rate is terrible. The employees don’t seem to want to be there and come across cold and not welcoming. The actual course itself is almost unplayable. The greens are rocky and not all grass, the fairways are weeds and bumps and is hard to hit off of. Bunkers are almost no sand with mostly weeds and the cups…

Bought expo cards anticipating a playable golf course at $150 each x4. Course has gone to hell they have no water. Conditions are deplorable a barren desert in addition it's cart path only. They should refund the cost of these cards. My group of 10 all fell for the expo card come on, are elderly/ sickly this policy will not allow us to use these cards rendering them useless. Course apparently closing in November. Do the right thing Eagle Trace refund our money

It is unreal how much money we just payed to “play” this course. Eagle Trace has got to be the worst course in Colorado (maybe the entire west). Tee boxes = Really Bad , fairways = Horrible , Greens = Passable. Cart path only is laughable. No amount of driving a cart on this course is making it worse. Please please please take my advice and do not play this course. It just is not worth the time/money.

Last year the gate keeper held back water and that hurt the course. I just played a couple of days ago and they have done an amazing job getting the course back in shape. Fun course. Holes on the back seemed to be more challenging than the front. Very casual atmosphere, staff work hard and are friendly. August 2025 Update. Some of the sand traps are overrun with weeds, the practice chipping green was allowed to die - thus unusable. The putting green is still good. It is a fun course, but it is starting to go downhill.

Fun layout, terrible condition. Friendly staff. Practice area would be great if taken care of. Greens are not maintained and tee boxes are a joke. At least half of the greens have huge holes. Chipping area was great last season but their groundskeepers are a joke, they let the entire chipping green die.

A lot of the bunkers are now just weed pits, half the time there’s no starter and the pro shop is closed. Their online system to make tee times is down most of time and when you call to make the tee time they are clearly annoyed you’re calling. I’m slowly finding better options around me as I am new to the area but I need to stop giving these people my money lol

Eagle Trace Golf Course is a fun little course. Good for practice and never a wait. They are tucked back in a neighborhood which keeps the staff and players friendly and accommodating. There is no pressure to play a fast-paced game. Clubhouse is okay, fair food and drink. Carts are always available and the price is fair. Don't expect a PGA style coarse, just come to have fun. Go online they often offer last minute deals.

Course is in terrible shape, staff is not welcoming at all. The pro shop has been closed almost every time i've played. I heard the course lost their water rights and they may have to close which is terrible for the staff but doesn't justify treating people badly. This course has a lot of potential but owners are not involved and don't seem to give this place the attention it deserves.

If I lived nearby I might play here again. Too many better options out there. To be fair I live in Longmont so it was a bit of a drive. Greens were challenging, sand traps were rock hard. 150 yard markers would have been nice.

The people running this course are rude and clearly don’t give a shit or seem to care to be there. Bartender was rude, marshal was rude and on everyone’s ass even though the people who were playing with us and behind us were fine and just trying to have a good time. We were playing right on time but he still rushed us. Corse was rough and not kept up on maintenance.

The course is in TERRIBLE condition. The marshal had an incredibly bad attitude when I talked to him about a slow pace group with THREE open holes in front of them. I will simply never play here again.
