In summary

Eagle Sticks Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, challenging layout with significant elevation changes, and friendly, accommodating staff. The restaurant, Mac's, is also highlighted for its quality food and service. However, some visitors note issues with slow pace of play and occasional dry spots on the course, particularly during summer months.

Eaglesticks is in immaculate condition. Kelly, Tyler and the rest of the crew keep this course so beautiful. It is a very challenging course, but you are rewarded if you keep it in the fairways. Then after your round, swing into Mac's, their restaurant for a delicious meal and a beverage or two of your choice while you talk about your round with your golf buddies. It truly is a great experience and worth every penny.

We really enjoyed our time at Eaglesticks! Every staff member that we interacted with was incredibly friendly. It was our first time, and everyone was more than willing to explain the set up to us. My husband enjoyed playing the course. Thank you so much for all the effort, we had so much fun!

I've been coming here for over 20 yrs. Kelly Morrow (GM) continues to run a great golf course and an awesome restaurant/bar for after the round. The course is consistently in great shape and the staff is always pleasant and helpful. The course isnt overly long, but if u miss the fairway or green the rough is brutal to get out of. If you can consistently drive the ball 270+ I'd use the back tees, 250+270 I'd use blue.

After hearing some positive things about Eaglesticks, I decided to make the two-hour drive to check it out for myself. Heading in, I had mixed emotions—excited from the buzz I'd heard, but also cautiously optimistic. The course offers a decent practice green and a range, which is always a good start. The staff was friendly, and they even had a greeter at hole one to give you a helpful rundown of the course rules and what to expect. Now, let me start with the not-so-great parts. Much of the fairways and tee boxes were suffering from the summer heat, leaving them burnt out and rough. Their sign…

Great track. We were early and it was raining so owner let us play on the simulator a bit. Was great. Waitress in bar is a sweetheart. Great additional stop if playing at Virtues.

Restaurant was running a little slow beforehand, so we had to eat quickly just before tee time. Regardless, staff was friendly. Dry spots will happen these days, but the course was in pretty good shape overall. Greens were great as always. Beautiful scenery. My friend agreed he'd happily drive 1.5 hours again to play the course.

Phenomenal course with a terrific layout. Played it in May 2026 right after they rolled the greens, exceptional! Staff, food, checkin and group planning all fantastic.

For a public course it was in great condition. You have to be in shape to get to the tee boxes and greens. Lots of up and downs and uneven lies.

Played this fine course 22 September 2022 on my road trip home from Longview, WA to East Liverpool, OH. Really appreciated Kelly, the course PGA Pro getting me out first thing in the morning. He was very kind and accommodating...even offered me a doughnut; a nice neighborly touch! Course was just beautiful...very high scenic value! Very little development; very quiet, serene rolling terrain, embraced by beautiful woodlands. Fairways, tee boxes and greens were lush. I loved the numerous elevated tee boxes, my favorite course design characteristic. Challenging but very playable. Carts were very…

$49 for a Tuesday late morning in November. Not busy and punched greens. Topped off by a group of 4 seniors that were playing a 4 man scramble and lining every putt up like it was to win the Masters. They would not let our threesome through. That added up to a 4 1/2 hr round. Knew I hadn’t been there in some time for a reason.

Little confused on how to rate this Golf course, since there's no separate way to review Mac's. I'll start with Mac's. Mac's bar/grill is 5-stars. Those ladies working during the OSU game and Sunday 9/3/23 were rock-stars! Attentive and very friendly. The golf course itself was in great shape (greens and fairways). The tee-boxes were beat up pretty bad, clearly getting a ton of play. Being Labor Day weekend, I would have expected a ranger onsite to help with slow play. There was a group going off the tips (yellow tees here, which is super-odd color coding) two-groups ahead of us, which shoul…

This is a great course. It has lots of hills and picturesque holes. The greens keeper was in a foul mood today, though. The pin placements were in difficult positions. The roughs are in rough shape in spots, but overall a great experience. The staff and service was very good.
