In summary

Covington Country Club receives mixed reviews, with visitors praising its scenic location and potential for a fun layout. The venue is frequently highlighted for its suitability for events, featuring a large ballroom and attractive amenities. However, many golfers express dissatisfaction with the course conditions, citing poor maintenance of greens and bunkers, as well as outdated facilities and high fees relative to the quality. Some also mention unhelpful staff and a lack of basic amenities on the course.

Truly the worst golf experience money can buy. Such a shame to have a golf course with a fun layout in a great area be reduced to this. Greens in absolute disarray, bunkers are unplayable with packed dirt and if you are courageous enough to try them out, be careful for the ant hills you are standing in. Not a drop of water is offered on the course and one single operating bathroom on the 17th hole. All this is acceptable if you’re charging $25, not $50. Make the drive to Oak Knoll in hammond and save yourself the grief.

I haven’t played this course in years because of the poor greens conditions and overpriced fees. I figured I would give it another shot since it’s close to the house and I had a trip out of town that afternoon. The only thing that has changed is that the staff are rude as well. Same terrible pitted greens on a course that could be fun to play if maintained properly. I would rather give up golf than play this course again.

The Owner(new) of the Venue and the Owner of the Golf Course are two different companies. I Have never played the Course but I can tell you that the Venue is open to the public and is Very Nice. Featuring a Large Ballroom and Band stage this venue is Perfect for events like Weddings, Birthdays, etc.. Food menu is Exceptional and decently priced. The view of the Pool and River from the Cabana Bar is the best In town. They also have a "Dungeon bar" that feels like a SpeakEasy thats Underground! The venue also has many public events featuring Live music, BallRoom Dance Classes, and even Stand Up…

Almost every green looks something like the picture below. I have visited this golf course for the last time due to the rudest staff I have ever come across at a country club golf course. Giving it two stars only because I can see it has potential to be a nice course if they get a greens keeper who cares. Staff needs to learn how to kill with kindness or fake it till they get off shift. The pro shop shouldn’t even be called that maybe a check-in closet. It doesn’t even have golf balls for purchase.

This is a $15 course masquerading as and charging $62.50 to play. I've been playing this course for years and it used to be OK. The last 1.5 to 2 years it has gotten worse and worse. Nearly every green looks something like the picture below. I have visited this golf course for the last time. If you want to play a $60 course that is actually worth the money then make the short drive over to Carter Plantation in Springfield.

I attended an event here and it was gorgeous! The room was very hot when we first arrived but the air conditioner eventually caught up and the rest of the evening was pleasant.

I used to think the north course at Bayou Oaks was bad but playing here makes the north course look like TPC. Carts are very old and need to be replaced, nearly every green is in terrible shape, cart paths desperately need maintenance, and the green fees make me believe that they think they’re on par with Lakewood or Audubon. Paid 40 during the week, should be closer to $20. If you’re thinking about playing here, don’t. Stick to any number of other public courses in the New Orleans area (Royal, Oak Harbor, Bayou Oaks, Audubon, Lakewood, English Turn, Pinewood, Joe Bart, Stone Bridge, Grand Ri…

Place is an absolute garbage. They charge premium price for a round of golf. They have no cart girls, no range, no putting green, handful of the green are not even playable… looks like they do the bare minimum across the board to keep that place running. Sad to see because the course is located in a great area with a decent lay out. Save your money and head to Royal. Much better experience.

Such a beautiful location — we had the best time celebrating our big day here! Everything was so well organized, and a huge shoutout to Chloe who went above and beyond to make sure everything was absolutely perfect. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

The only decent thing about the course was the layout. I grew up in Mandeville when this was a great course. The greens are an abomination (some actually had huge holes in them), the fairways and unmown and shaggy, the pro-shop staff are grumpy and unhelpful. The clubhouse looks and smells like a dungeon. The only decent employee we encountered was a marshall who informed us that if you hit a green to just take a 2 put because there was no way to actually make a put. We found that to be true. AND it was $50. Not saying don't play the course, just be aware.
