In summary

Chestnut Ridge Golf Resort & Conference Center is highly praised for its beautiful setting, excellent course conditions, and stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The venue is popular for weddings and events, with guests appreciating the attentive staff and quality food. However, some visitors have noted issues with course maintenance, such as inconsistent sand traps and occasional slow play, as well as sporadic air conditioning during events.

This was my #1 choice of wedding venue out of all of the ones I’ve toured (I’m a wedding planner), so when it was open for our New Year’s Eve date, I was shocked. My husband and our parents all agreed, so we booked it, and could not be any happier with our choice. The stunning bar and gorgeous ballroom, paired with the Hampton Inn located immediately next door are the biggest selling points. Besides the features of the property itself, the coordinator, Amy, is phenomenal. She made us feel like we were the only clients she was working with anytime we had a question or meeting. She responds very…

Chestnut Ridge is one of the best places you can have a wedding outside of Pittsburgh. I love photographing weddings here. It can hold over 300 guests and every room is beautiful and luxurious. The ballroom offers a gorgeous view of the mountains and is positioned so that you and your guests can enjoy brilliant sunsets over the golf course, and there is always plenty of room for dancing. The golf course provides amazing photo opportunities, and even if there is rain, the bar area is stunning for photos with its white columns, floor to ceiling windows, and white marble floors.

Beautiful facility to have in the area, right by the highway, just a couple miles out of downtown, & fantastic room option for events/parties. I use them for professional events/conferences/banquets frequently and will continue with them in the future. The local eateries inside are tastey, convenient and quality for comfort food or a nice dinner!

We played Tom’s Run I’m going to say it is a good course, i think the price is fair. I don’t think that Tom’s Run is significantly better (or any better) than chestnut. Greens= nice, very true, soft and held most shots into the green, good speed. It’s odd, the mower to cut the collars/fringe/grass adjoining the green must be broken. Very irregular from green to green, looks that it hasn’t been done in weeks , some areas have a 2 ft cut other parts are like 6 inches. Not indicative of a higher end track. Traps are not good as others mentioned in other reviews, the sandtrap machine was in there…

WOW! Golf course was in great condition. Greens were running true and fast. Restaurant service was efficient and friendly with great selection of food. Recommend for a getaway or a quick round. You will not be disappointed. ⛳🏌️‍♂️

Course was great . The only down fall of this place I found was the kitchen. The. Food was horrible. But everything else was amazing

There is no course decorum - lots of fwords and loud music by clientele. They must make more money on booze than golf because on the weekend it is not an enjoyable round. Course is in generally good condition. I just wish they wouldn’t tolerate behavior that impacts other players.

First time back here since about 2015… the greens shrunk by a good bit, half of the greens are dead around the fringe with probably 8-9 of them having a good amount of dead spots all over the green, you pretty much play plinko on half the greens, minimum. It seems they aerated them, then just let them go. The sand traps are hard as a rock with I’m fairly certain no sand in them… Charged $75 for 18 and a cart and honestly wouldn’t have paid $35 for 18 and a cart. Don’t waste your money at either course, go play Manitto or make the drive to Indiana to play Meadowlane, or hell play Totteridge… ho…

The place is beautiful. I attended for an event, not to golf. The food was excellent. The people working there were extremely nice also. My issue was sporadic air conditioning on a day it was nearly 90 degrees. This made it uncomfortable at times. Turn up the AC and get to 72 instead of 92 and all is great!

Played at Tom's Run here a few months back....finally. Have stayed at the Hampton Inn before but wasn't golf season. The views here are beautiful as this course is tucked in-between a couple of mountain ridges. Immaculate is the word for this course. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in great shape! Saw some deer and groundhogs as well along the way so that was nice bonus. There was one hole on front 9 (don't remember #...maybe 7?) you have to stop the cart and walk up and across a bridge to get to Tee Box...it could use some attention as it was pretty slick going across the wet bridge.…

Played here last week for the first time in a few years. Layout is still great and challenging but places burned out due to no rain and sand traps have more rocks than sand. No pin positions marked and was told greens crew didn't want to come up with a system. Great greens and fantastic staff.
