In summary

Champion Lakes Golf Club is highly praised for its well-maintained and challenging golf course, picturesque setting in the Laurel Highlands, and attentive staff. Many visitors appreciate the excellent course conditions, scenic views, and the friendly atmosphere created by the staff and accommodations. However, some criticisms include issues with tee time communication, outdated facilities, and occasional maintenance challenges such as debris on greens or uneven fairways.

This is a wonderful place to get away and play some golf. The course and accommodations are located close to downtown Ligonier, a small town with a lot to do. I highly recommend coming for a long weekend or vacation.

This isn’t a resort.. Golf course is fantastic. Challenging and fair. Par 3 tee boxes are terrible. Some of the best public greens around IMO. Must keep your ball in the fairway as the second cut is pretty thick making it challenging to hold your ball on the green. A must play track! Staff was absolutely wonderful

First impression was not the best, no communication and drove over 25 miles to come to the course for my tee time just to find they were closed several hours after they opened. They had more then enough time to inform my party and never did, as well as immediately hanging up on incoming calls prior to set up a tee time. The service i personally received was not professional or good at all.

Played the course on an overcast November day. The greens were aerated recently and were still healing. Many of the greens had leaves and some light debris on them making putting challenging. There was a mtce worker attempting to blow the greens clear, but at 10am several greens were still not cleared. Despite the challenge of the season I really enjoyed the layout of the course except the par 5, 5th hole. The fairway on this hole is severely slanted right to left and even hitting the fairway had my ball roll all the way down to the out of bounds marker. I’d have the rough higher to the left…

This is a golf review. Very nice wooded course with some awesome scenery on some of the holes. Greenside on #2 is especially nice. View of the mountains on most holes. Well kept, greens in great shape, some crab grass off some of the fairways need to be cleaned up.

Can't comment on the resort or hotel but, the golf course is A class. Extreme care has been taken to make sure the course is in great shape at any tee time and is well tended too. Very hard course for me but a pleasure to play.

Beautiful views. Not a level lie on any fairway though. A little rough around the edges. Clubhouse is clunky and needing an update. Nice people in charge. Update: I recently attended a party with about 50 people there. The food was 1 hour late in serving. It was cold and overcooked when we ate. Cheap wine for $7 a glass.

The course was in terrific condition. The fairways were great, the rough wasn't too high and the greens were some of the smoothest that I've played all year and we're rolling at a good speed. The staff was also great. The course will challenge you on many of the holes.

First time at the golf club had an excellent time. I cooked a pig for a party nice turnout and very nice staff. The people there are very accommodating. If your in the area stop on by and say hello and have a cold drink at the outside patio
