What People Say

In summary

Cherry Valley Golf Course is well-regarded for its well-maintained greens, friendly staff, and relaxed atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for both beginners and experienced golfers to practice their short game. The course layout, featuring a mix of par 3s and a couple of par 4s, offers a fun and challenging experience, with the convenience of no required tee times. While most feedback is positive, a few visitors note the course can be deceptively challenging, particularly due to the thick rough and longer holes.

Great par 3, for what it is. It's just 9 holes but they still offer carts, which was a pleasant surprise. The course has a far bit of variety, especially for just having 9 holes. Friendly staff, course was decently maintained, great pricing.

What a wonderful experience!! Highly recommend for families, learning to play, working on your game, etc. Perfect short course. Clean, what you expect and more for the fees charged. My new favorite spot. Recently took my daughter there for her 3rd time golfing. The workers were so nice and accommodating. We let one person play through and he was so excited a little one was learning. Made her feel good and bad for us taking a little more time. We meet some of the other members after our round and they were talking about all the improvements coming and they liked it so much. Thank you for show…

I love playing this course. Just did two laps for 18 total holes. It has improved my overall game with lots of Chip/putt practice. Super nice greens and easy to show up and play without a tee time.

This course is fun. Courses like this should be celebrated. It is not Augusta. 9 short, well kept holes. Walked it in 1 hour with a few minutes waiting on a couple holes. Greens are very slow but in perfect shape. There was actually a guy playing in coveralls.

I stopped here during the Louder than Life festival just for something to do before I went, and I was blown away. Awesome course, awesome greens, great atmosphere. The course is well taken care of, and the design of the course is fantastic, with two par 4s (230 and 260 yards) and seven par 3s. What I liked is how easy it is to go from the clubhouse to the tee, and from green to tee on each hole. I enjoyed it so much that I came back again a day later and played. I live 2 hours and 20 minutes from this course and I would seriously think about making the drive to playing here once a month.

Cherry Valley Golf Course is a great place to get in a quick 9. Under new ownership, the course is really coming back to life and getting to be in great shape! Friday night scrambles are a blast, and it is VERY reasonably priced. Not to mention, it is also kid friendly for youngsters learning the game!

Hands down the best course in New Albany, Indiana in 2021. I have been absolutely blown away by this hidden gem. This par 3 course will challenge every part or your game. The greens are smoother than a baby's bottom, and quicker than than a blink of an eye. It's the perfect place to dial in your game. Everytime I play this track it seems like course management has made another improvement. Just when I think this place can't get any better they continue to amaze me. Don't get me started with the atmosphere of this place. I have never played at a more welcoming course. From it's members to cour…

Since taking over Joe has made tremendous upgrades to the course. Fixing the greens, upgrading the carts, paving the cart path, and a ton of other things. From March to now he put 110% effort into making it a great little 9 hole course and it’s been awesome seeing it come such a long way in such little time.

Perfect golf course to work on your short game, great for experienced golfers or people new to the game. Relaxed atmosphere and no tee times needed. Random draw scrambles Wednesday and Fridays starting at 6. Also has one Sunday mornings. Friendly but competitive events. Take this into consideration while deciding when to visit. Also, want to make a special note on how far the course has come since Joe Byrd has taken over. He’s fully committed to making the course as good as it can be and has put in a lot of hard work. Greens are looking great! Thanks, Joe!

Great little course. Greens are some of the best in the area. Perfect place to work on your short game and even can use a driver or 3 wood on the par 4's. No tee time needed which works for the spur of the moment!

The course is deceptively harder than you would think with thick rough and 2 very long holes. One the more challenging par 3 courses I’ve played . But golf wasn’t made to be easy .
