Canterbury Golf Club

Great patio area for lunch or dinner, overlooking the golf course it is spectacular. Lunch was good and cocktails even better. The golf course was in excellent shape and our Caddie John was one of the bests. His life long experience was great and his drive to show us the course and teach about it was refreshing! Locker room facilities were top notch! Strong showers nice soap comfortable towels. I enjoyed my day here hope to return someday!

What an incredible day at Canterbury GC in Ohio! I was spoiled and had the privilege to play with a long-standing member and the club's historian this afternoon. Hearing about the incredible history of the club and course really made today special. I was spoiled by having a great caddy, Will. Will made navigating the course a breeze with his deep understanding of the greens and lines to take with blind shots. I can't say enough great things about the club, and didn't even touch on the awesome patio, great food and service, and world class staff!

If you love old-school, classic golf, Canterbury is a grand slam experience. As someone who enjoys golf history, I was already excited to play Canterbury. But the course FAR exceeded expectations. The land pitches and rolls throughout the round. There are scoring holes, and there are survival holes, It's a great mix of hold-on, and "floor it" kind of golf. But be aware that the greens roll fast and true. Downhill putts may wind up being way more downhill than you imagined. Meanwhile, the vibe of the course and the setting just keeps whispering, "This is what golf used to be like"....and it's a…

Watched my son play in the Kiely Cup there today. What an absolutely beautiful, professional- grade golf course! Extremely well manicured and well kept with beautiful old neighborhoods in the background. I believe this course used to be an old PGA stop, and it's easy to see why. Some devious pin placements today for the boys, making for a challenging tournament, but it was an absolutely beautiful day and the course is really a jewel. My props to the course management and facilities manager.

My best friend won a round for four at the Canterbury at a Charity golf outing last summer. We were finally able to get our schedules to line up so that we could come up and play. We were definitely not disappointed. From the staff to the course, everything was perfect. This is not a course for the faint of heart. Although it seems to be fairly wide open with not a ton of trees, getting off the the fairway and into the deeper cuts adds another level of difficulty not apparent when first teeing off. Canterbury is golf history in northeast ohio. An old school course in excellent condition, transitioning back to its roots. Artifacts abound in the club house, from 5 major trophies to a green jacket from a former club pro. Champions in golf know Canterbury & remember 16, 17 & 18 no matter in which decade they played.

This place is AMAZING. Great golf history, wonderful workers and awesome club.

A once in a lifetime experience to play this iconic home to the fifth major - the Western Open- rain soaked the afternoon but the westerly wind soon came and squeezed away the runoff . Gracious thanks to GM Jason Carbone , Clubhouse attendant - Don, Golf Shop staff Rou and Preston and all the St. Charles HS golf team ! It was a miraculous summer day!
