In summary

Brookwood Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, diverse and challenging layout, and friendly staff. The unique setting near an airport adds an interesting element with planes flying overhead, and the club offers good amenities including a clean clubhouse and quality golf carts. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the slow pace of play and occasional scheduling issues, which can lead to delays on the course.

I visited Brookwood Golf Club during an outing for the Wells County Chamber of Commerce. This wasy first visit to the this course, although I have driven past it many times! The course was very nice and we had a lot of fun. In the afternoon the planes start coming in for landings and sometimes feel like you better duck!

I love Brookwood it’s my home course I play here rather often, the grounds crew does an amazing job course conditions are almost always perfect greens are immaculate! The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because the pace of play has been a joke recently. I understand it’s the end of the season but it took me and one other competent golfer 5 1/2 hours yesterday and the green on 18 was so backed up we just left. Legitimately 3 hours to make the turn waiting to tee off on every single box. Talked to multiple groups and we all wondered why they would book times so close together. Really hope…

Great time golfing here. We went on a day with some rain clouds hanging around in April, and just about had the place to ourselves. The course was in great shape, and had some interesting holes. Electric carts too which is always nice. Can't wait to go back!

One of my rare 5 star reviews, golf in Fort Wayne has had a lot of courses closing down over the past 5 years. With the better courses with good staff remaining. For public courses Brookwood is hard to beat, located near the airport makes it only possible negative. If you coming from other areas it is an extra 5-10 minute drive time (.5 star reduction isn’t possible) to get there. The course is very fair with some challenging holes (4,6,7,9,10,12 & 17) good drives and good 2nd shots are required to have chance to make pars, and a few easier holes (2, 5, 13, 15 & 18) these are shorter and the e…

Nice course, I play here very often but this particular time was the absolute worst. Pace of Play was awful … 3 hour front 9 and even longer on the back 9. Multiple holes where 4 separate groups backed up almost every hole. They were so over booked by the staff they really should be embarrassed. They started sending groups off the back, having them go in front of groups making the turn because the first hole was backed up so bad. It was definitely the worst golf rounds I’ve ever had and will definitely not come back for the foreseeable future. Just really pathetic Brookwood …

great course and friendly staff. Pace of Play was awful..Nary a marshal in sight. 3 hours to the turn. one hour and 15 minutes to play 10, 11 ,12. 4 groups backed up on 13, was enough for us to call it quits. Was in town for the weekend, so I'm not sure if this is the norm, but the guys I was paired with said it's been getting worse. I would return just to see the rest of the track, but not on a weekend....BTW..Some of us try and be respectful, so what good is an empty sand bottle?

Played over 60 rounds at Brookwood in 2024. Course is always in great shape. Grounds crew busts butt to keep it in great playing condition. Staff with Mike, Brian and Kyle are great.

Great experience on the course. Course was nice, carts were nice, some of the employees attitudes is what soured the day. The rental clubs were a joke, we had 3 5 irons in our bag, putter was bent. The food was great, had the meatloaf sandwich special but when we ordered we did not know it would take as long as it did so when we got back on the course a member of the staff came storming out to inform us we took to long at the turn and we would need to let the next 3 groups play though. What a joke. We did not let them play though and they never caught up to us.

Very nice older course, with 6 sets of tees, that is in excellent condition. The greens are fast. There are not a lot of water hazards, but there is a creek that crosses 6 holes and multiple areas of tall grass. Hole #6 is a beast of a par 3 at 189 yards with a small fast green that's higher than the tee with a 50 foot deep valley between them.

Offers the unique experience to golf while planes are landing/taking off right above you. Additionally, the course is well maintained and always a fun time.
