In summary

Bear Slide Golf Club is highly praised for its beautiful and well-maintained course, featuring a distinctive layout with a Scottish links-style front nine and a more traditional back nine. The staff is generally regarded as friendly and welcoming, contributing to a positive golfing experience. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the pace of play enforcement and the behavior of course rangers, which can detract from the overall enjoyment.

I hate writing reviews like this because Bear Slide Golf Club is genuinely a beautiful course. The layout is great, the scenery is top-tier, and it has all the makings of a premium golf experience. Unfortunately, the way we were treated completely overshadowed everything else. We had a group of four and played 18 holes in 4 hours and 15 minutes—well within a reasonable pace, especially given the chilly conditions and heavy winds. Despite that, we were repeatedly approached and pressured by the ranger—at least five or six times—being told to keep up with a twosome ahead of us. At no point were…

We were in town for LIV and had a 10am tee time at Bear Slide. I chose it after reading the reviews. We really enjoyed the course and were glad we played with a local as the 3rd player - he was able to give some good tips on a few of the harder holes and dog legs. True to the description - the front nine is Scottish links style and the back is more traditional winding thru the woods and taking bridges over creeks. The course was very well maintained - nice fairways and smooth greens. They enforce rules here and you can tell because it isn't all beat up to heck. And I am sure they have quality…

This is really a 4.5 star review, but there’s no option for 1/2 stars. I played with a foursome on Saturday 5/10. This was my first time back golfing in well over a decade. The course was beautiful and very well maintained with a distinct front and back 9. I have no basis to compare how difficult it was, but we all had a very good time and everyone played well - surprisingly I was able to keep up without major embarrassment. Worth noting for those without their own equipment, the rental set was a Callaway XR iron set with an upgraded Ai Smoke driver, which – as I understand it – is an unusua…

I’m not even finished with my round and I gotta say, this is an incredible course. Very challenging, very well maintained. Pace of play has been really good. Even on a wet day it’s playing really pure. 10/10 coming back.

Not gonna lie whoever designed this course cooked like crazy. This course feels like a 1900s links course. The back 9 is just insane. Everything is very well kept up. This course is probably the best and hardest course in Hamilton County outside of Purgatory. Must do for sure.

I would give it more than 5 stars if that were a choice. This was our 25th annual golf outing. The first course has always been Bear Slide. Mark is awesome and always allows me to make tee times well in advance to accommodate my groups flights and planning. Can't wait for year 26! Bear Slide is a gorgeous track and there is something magical about the location and experience.

Great links-style front 9 that turns into forest with great elevation changes on the back 9. Fimished in under 4 hours. Really enjoyed the round.

Visited from Ohio. Really loved the course! Well kept and challenging. Very links style course. Lost some balls in the heather for sure but it's our job to avoid it! The starter and staff in the pro shop and snack bar were all very personable and glad we were there. Would definitely come back when we are in the area.

Great condition from tees to greens! Putting surfaces were fast and pure. So many blind shots make it a challenge, but not in a good way. This place really needs to consider GPS on the carts to help golfers see the course better and speed up play. The staff and starter were friendly and welcoming!

Hidden Gem for sure. Very well kept and great views. Can't wait to go back. Played very pretty well. Only thing I found odd was the holes seemed to not be stamped down very well, if your ball slowly rolled next to the hole it always pushed it away.
