In summary

Auglaize Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, accommodating staff, and scenic layout, particularly the front nine near the Auglaize River. Many golfers appreciate the course's level of difficulty and the presence of a driving range. However, some reviews mention issues with fairway conditions, outdated carts, and occasional staff rudeness, which have affected the overall experience for a few visitors.

Over all a OK course. The practice putting green is all slopped. So if your just trying to feel green goodnluc

This was our first time here on the course. Very accommodating staff that was happy to help. The course was in great shape, you can tell they have put a lot of effort into maintaining it over the years. Tee boxes were plush, and greens were in good shape. The layout of the holes was clear, and felt very safe. A good level of difficulty with some fun water hazards, and good bunkers. I can't wait to come back.

Favorite course in the area. Well maintained tee to green with the greens being its main defence. Front nine is tucked into the auglaize river outlets and makes for some tight holes and great views. Does pretty well in terms of drainage too. Don't shy away from it after a rain.

Definitely one of my favorite courses in Northwest Ohio. A must play if you live within an hour.

***Changing my review (today is 9/14/24). The ownership is NOT doing a good job with this course or Eagle Rock. The fairways are garbage, like there is a disease or fungus. The greens are mostly still ok. The carts are old and don't work well anymore, and the staff seems as though they couldn't care less that you are there. It's sad what has happened to the courses in Defiance.

I’d leave a 0 if possible. For a first timer, I’m very dissatisfied and disappointed in my experience. Employees were very rude. We got approached at hole #2 and got accused of not paying. We were also told we were taking too long. We had never golfed before. There was 4 of us. We only golfed maybe 30 minutes, since we let people go around us. Due to how we were treated, we went to the office and requested our money back considering we only got to play 2 holes. They refused to give us a refund. We tried reaching management for several days after and no one was ever in to speak too. We won’t be…

Nice layout, front 9 is more mature nature wise then the back 9. Course played decent for February in Ohio. Will definitely be back to check it out when the weather warms up

Like the layout, but Tee boxes are rough and uneven, full of divots. As a lady...I hit from the red tees, but refuse to hit my "tee shot" from the fairway...so I played the Gold. Fairways are more weeds and crabgrass than grass. Greens were nice but slow. Best thing was the newer carts. Not worth $29... should only charge $15. Not worth driving from Toledo.

Great course!! Really enjoy the course and the staff is excellent. Wish the fairways were wider and the cups larger. Hahaha!

I like the course, but we golfed it early September a lot of burned out fairway and tee boxes. Greens were decent

I only played the back nine. A fun course but has short comings in the condition of the course and the carts are so old, deteriorating. I wouldn't let that deter from playing just be aware.
