In summary

Alden Pines Country Club is appreciated for its friendly and accommodating staff, beautiful rural setting, and the presence of diverse wildlife, providing a peaceful golfing experience. The course offers a moderately challenging layout with well-maintained greens, although the fairways, particularly on the front nine, are often criticized for being in poor condition. Despite some issues with course maintenance, the club is considered a good value for its reasonable rates.

Don't expect manicured fairways particularly on the front 9. But do expect a good value, friendly staff and a beautiful rural and tropical location. Moderately challenging course with a relaxed atmosphere.

This challenging Pine Island golf course was fun. Play was at a moderate pace. What a variety of ducks, egrets, and other shorebirds.

Pretty awesome experience. The new staff was very polite and welcoming. The course is in decent shape. It is not very long, but the hazards can create a good challenge for the average golfer. The greens are very nice and kind of slow. The fairways are decent as well, but dont expect great playing conditions if it rained the night before, because the course tends to flood. Overall, a very great experience and I highly recommend.

Front 9 holes are absolutely rough and fairways are like playing off a cart path with patches of grass. Fairways are very narrow with little forgiveness. Back 9 holes are beautiful and taken care of. You definitely tell when you get to the holes that have homes close to them. This course is by the ocean so the no seeums are very bad. Wear bug repellent you're gonna need it or you will be miserable.

This course is long and provides plenty of challenge. The staff has always been courteous and friendly. While there's no refreshment cart, you can get drinks prior or during the round. The rates are reasonable and the greens are well groomed.

Great Sunday afternoon round. Fairways were a bit rough but greens in good shape. Several par 4’s and par 5’s give long hitters a chance to grip it and rip it. Friendly and accommodating staff, will visit again when we come back down this way.

Greens are immaculate. Fairways are a disaster. Prices are fair. Service was acceptable. Cart man was super friendly, helpful and meets you in the parking lot to offer a cart. Difficult shot shapers course. I wouldn't suggest beginners play. Much to Difficult. Bring balls, extra balls! Wildlife is awesome, feel of the course is lazy & relaxing in spite of the courses difficulty and fairway conditions. Best winter golf course in SWFL. 3 STARS FOR CONDITION OF FAIRWAYS.

My tee time was 1pm so it was only $35. That said, the Front nine was horrible. Almost no grass on the fairways. Greens were okay. Back nine the fairways were in good shape. Greens very nice. Water, water everywhere. Bring at least a dozen balls. Not worth the drive or the money. Saw dome birds and turtles, no gaters.

Played here today...being a Superintendent at a golf course, I know things can be tough...its not like growing grass in your yard, you must have a salt tolerance turf...and $$$. But this place for $25 with cart...bet your bottom dollar my wife and I will be back! The greens were good, little slow, but all good, feel sorry for the greens mower on #1 not seeing the hydro leak, but still good!

Not very good course condition wise. Fairways on the front nine are terrible. We were push the whole time by the guy sanding the greens. Then he passes us and sands the greens ahead of us. No one else was behind us playing. Then they literally turned the water on the holes in front of us as we are putting out. He looks at us and makes eye contact and goes away. Really sad that it’s like this since it’s the only course on Pine Island. It’s a vacationing fisherman’s dream location. I guess it’s Cape Coral courses next time. <><
