In summary

Winter Pines Golf Course is appreciated for its friendly staff, reasonable pricing, and well-maintained fairways, making it a popular choice for both local and visiting golfers. The course offers a fun and approachable layout with mature trees and water hazards, and amenities such as a small pro shop and restaurant add to the experience. However, some visitors have noted issues with the condition of the greens and restrictive GPS systems on carts, which can detract from the overall experience.

This is a great golf course that has a great price. The staff was super friendly, when a party member of ours was late they kindly allowed us to move our tee time later. The greens and fairways were well maintained. The carts were in tip top shape and clean when we used them. Definitely will be coming here more frequently.

Most of the course was in great shape and well maintained, apart from a few greens that could use some attention. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The price was reasonable for the quality, and I’d definitely recommend playing here.

Great short 18 hole course tucked inside a small older neighborhood. The track is fairly basic with straight shots and several nice gentle doglegs, all speckled with bunkers, lined by old growth trees, and a creek or water hazard looming about. The conditions were very good and there are a lot of course renovations being made. This course would be a nice challenge for a beginner, just right for the average golfer, and perhaps an under par day for a really good golfer. The pace of the round was nice and the staff were friendly as well. Two nice cart features I really liked were the GPS systems…

Tried to book a tee time today at 3:40 to take my daughter out and play just a few holes. Their site says the last carts go out at 3:30 and must be back in by 5:00. I called and spoke to a lady and asked if I would be able to take my daughter out at 3:40 and play as many holes as we could until the cart had to be back at 5:00. There was zero consideration, the answer was no because “it’s a rule she has in front of her”. I wasn’t asking for them to allow me to play 18 holes and go out at 3:40, I just wanted to let my daughter play a few holes and follow their arbitrary rule of carts back in by…

The course was a decent layout for shorter hitters. Basically an executive course. The bad news is they lost almost all of there greens and had to paint the sand spots green to wven appear normal. Good news was I was paired with some really nice guys and had a good time regardless. Would not recommend this track for better golfers.

We love this golf course. The staff is very kind and nice, we accidentally went to the wrong course and when we finally got there we had missed our tee time but fit us in quickly. Shot a few balls before then to pass the time. Nice course for us, lots of wildlife, the course itself was fairly clean. Loved the break after the 9th hole enjoyed a beer and bit in there quaint restaurant. We will be back again.

Update: I havent been back to the range for 3 weeks. And yet again, I had the 'pro' start a lesson right next to me in the middle of the range. The sad part is that he trolls the range and grabs all the balls that golfers left in the bay. It is very annoying when the 'pros' decide to give lessons right next to you in the middle of the range. Are they too lazy to walk to the end stalls that are open? He, the'pro', is getting paid to be there, I paid to be there. What ever happened to golf etiquette? I enjoy and miss quiet time while practicing on the range.

I’ve played Winter Park Pines numerous times and it’s always a solid round. The 18‑hole layout is fun and approachable, with mature trees, water hazards, and a quick pace that keeps things moving. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and I’ve enjoyed some great rounds with locals who call this place home. If you’re looking for a good, casual golf course in the Winter Park area that balances challenge with fun, this is it.

The course right now is in the worst shape I have ever seen it. The course is bare, the greens still have sand on them Del. Weeks ago and the ground crew has scared many areas around the greens with the blades set way too low on the mowers. Definitely not worth $60 a round. I will not go back until I hear it is much better. In contrast, the other course owned by the city, The Winter Park 9, is in much better shape. Go figure.

This place sucks. Had a phone that I lost at the golf course and a couple days later someone found it. Then the clubhouse called me saying that they have the phone and they said they would be there until 8:00. I drive over and get there at 7:40 and low and behold the clubhouse is locked and the bartender cat do anything about it. Why would you tell me 8:00 and be gone by 7:40? Utter incompetence.

Course was in pretty good shape. But the GPS on the golf carts is way too restrictive. The fact is, that it takes away a lot of fun on the course because you're always having to back up.

Amazing time playing here with some coworkers from around the globe 🌎 I beat them obviously, except MJ who is kinda good. The British guy got a little sunburnt - if it’s sunny, bring that sunscreen! Allie makes a mean lemon drop 🍋 so play yourself some bingo bango bongo and be ready for your mid-way earned shots at the turn, and of course your classic glizzy 🌭 great menu, order ahead if you can if it’s busy out there!
