In summary

Walden on Lake Conroe Golf & Country Club is widely praised for its beautiful and challenging course layout, well-maintained greens, and stunning views of Lake Conroe. The staff is frequently commended for their friendliness and attentiveness, and the club offers a variety of amenities, including a well-regarded restaurant. However, some visitors have noted issues with slow pace of play on weekends and occasional dissatisfaction with the restaurant service.

Walden is a challenging course, with beautiful views. I recommend it, but get ready for the ever-present five and six-somes on the weekends. I've been stuck behind a group of five or six golfers every time I went out on a weekend for the past year. It makes a round of golf about 5 hours long. It can be quite frustrating. I've never seen a marshal to keep the pace of play or account for the added golfers. Holes 11 through 13 are awesome and should be experienced. Hole #8 is tough. If you're interested in joining, make sure to inquire about this. I'm not the only one who has frustration about th…

Course is in great shape. Son played a tournament there yesterday and was very impressed with the course conditions. Spectacular views as always and truly one of a kind course in North Houston. Greens are small and OB stakes line the fairways, if you spray the ball you will have a long day. Simply enjoy the breathtaking views of the lake and have a drink.

Our family has a membership to this golf course. My husband plays 2-3 days per week and uses the driving range almost daily. He is a scratch golfer who was looking for a nice course with a high level of difficulty. This coursemet his expectations. He says the course is in great shape. It's right on Lake Conroe with pins reaching out on a point towards the water. The greens are smaller than most courses which adds to the difficulty. They offer a great family rate which includes Walden Golf Course and a course in Spring. It's definitely worth checking out if you're looking to challenge your game…

Beautiful restaurant on the golf course. The food and service is always five-star. One of our favorite places to dine, dance and meet friends.

I've belonged to Walden on.Lake Conroe Golf Club for 20 years. It is a wonderful and challenging golf course that I have never tired of playing. The pro shop staff is outstanding and goes out of its way to accommodate members, while maintaining the decorum you would expect from a club of this level.

Traditional, golf course elegance is what Walden on Lake Conroe Golf Course is all about. The service was really good. The staff was attentive. The food was very good. A little too much butter in the eggs. Other than that, everything was very tasty! Definitely worth more visits!

Speaking only of the restaurant, Cafe on the Green, and not the golf course itself, do not waste your time! The service is horrible and the food isn’t worth what they charge for it, if they even have it in stock. The current manager, should be bussing the dirty tables because he is definitely not training or managing the staff, or keeping up with the inventory.

Course has a good layout but some holes needs good placement off the tee so be careful if you play alone Bunkers are well shaped and large Nice to see green sand which is in a box on the cart so could be an issue if walking Nothing to clean clubs on the cart !!! All in all a good experience

Was forced to purchase 90$ collared shirts because it's a "nice course" and apparently the quality of the course is determined by the quality of clothes you wear. Then was insulted by 2 "gentlemen" at the front when we told them we've played on dozens of genuinely nice courses. Get out there, and almost every "green" was half dirt. Sidewalks are all broken, and tee boxes were all chopped up. For a place that brags about their "high quality" course, this was a pretty basic, poorly maintained course. Almost every hole is just a straight 350-500 yard drive. Had a great time playing the game, but…
