In summary

Virginia Golf Center & Academy is highly regarded for its welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and well-maintained driving range equipped with Top Tracer technology. Visitors appreciate the facility's affordability, variety of practice areas, and year-round accessibility, including heated bays for colder months. However, some criticisms arise regarding the condition of the par 3 course and occasional service issues at the on-site BBQ, with a notable incident involving a racially charged encounter affecting the overall experience for some guests.

In today's world, going certain places the atmosphere is so dark. People seem like they don't want to be there or care to have a job. Here from day one that I walked in I felt welcomed. Every staff member was nice and that goes a long way. The driving range itself is really cool. If you are in the area or happen to pass by it everyday. Dont be like me and drive by it for 7yrs before stopping in LOL. Really amazing if you're into golf and just want to keep the swing warm year round.

My grading is based on me not having tons of experience around doing golf and tons of unexpected fun I had. Place was not as busy during my visit, but don't get me wrong... tons of people all over the place, especially doing the driving range. Nice peaceful walk from hole to hole.

Incredible practice facility with amazing staff. I live in Leesburg but have been making the 30 minute drive because this is my favorite driving range in Nova. Affordable prices and tons of space. Really appreciate you guys being open during the winter when most places were closed.

This is one of my favorite golf ranges in the area. They offer the top tracer (similar to top golf) if you want to pay for it. The price for a bucket of balls is very reasonable and they have plenty of bays. There are outdoor bays and indoor bays, the later of which can be heated. Rain, Shine, Cold, Hot this place is in service! There's also a pitching area, putting green, and wedge range. They apparently also have a par 3 course, but I have not been to it yet. Will update my review once I do. Overall, best range and practice areas for the price that I've been to in NoVA.

Good place for beginners or if you have a short on time for par three 9 hole they could do better on putting the distance from T box, but people are very pleasant and there’s always a place to hit balls whether you want to be under the heaters which makes it very convenient during the colder it is they open as early as 6 AM in the summer, which is super convenient you can stand out in the sun or you can be in the base two floors of ranges and there is a chipping in a bunker to work off of

2023-03-20. Reviewing this as a looker and not a user. We were in the general area looking for a geocache and decided to take a look around the Virginia Golf Center since we'd never been here before. It's a pretty impressive facility and the next time we're nearby I'm going to go inside and check that out too. There's a covered heated TopTracer range, lighted driving range, a really large lighted short game practice area, and a 9-hole short course. Good parking rounds it out. I checked the website and the fees look reasonable. 9-holes for $20 and 18-holes for $26. Convenient location, too.

The driving range is awesome but the (9-hole) par 3 is in terrible shape. I am new to golf but perhaps the worse condition I have yet played. It is unfortunate because the layout is beautiful with nice traps (and water). I wish they would take care of the grass to make it pleasurable to play on. It is definitely not worth $17. In fact, I don't think it is worth your time even if it was free to play.

This golf center is great and I only go here now! 100+ balls for $14 is great! Also this place is quiet and for people who want to work on their swing. Not to mention there's a 9-hole par 3, a small wedge range, putting greens, and chipping greens. Oh and they have top tracer technology for half of their bays for only $5/hr. Lastly there's tasty BBQ on the weekends! Only thing, just wish there were yardage charts for the non top tracer bays.

Came here for the par 3 and food. Unfortunately the BBQ spot was out of all their meats and only had fried food. So all we had were chicken tenders and wings. The gentleman cooking was nice and did his damndest to compensate for the lack of options. But was really hoping to try the BBQ I kept hearing about... The par 3 wasn't in good condition. Patches and weeds everywhere. Layout is nice, for a par 3 it can be challenging. But the conditions of the course were sub par at best. They only offer 9 holes, you can choose to replay the same 9 for an additional price. To be honest the par 3 in ste…

I go VGC often to practice golf. Especially, it has a Toptracer screen, which makes it very convenient to check my distance. And the staff is very friendly. Especially, Michael makes me feel good by smiling and greeting me every time I visit the office.

I love Virginia Golf Center in Clifton, VA. They have the best range around with Top Tracer and a nice little par 3 9 hole course to practice on. Not to mention the chipping/putting greens. Great spot and the vip annual fee is well worth it.

I’ve been coming to this range for years, but today left me with a terrible feeling after an upsetting, racially charged encounter. After purchasing a bucket of balls and finishing up at the range, my mom and I went over to the putting green to practice. An older white man in a hat, unclear if he worked there or he was just there, approached us immediately and began questioning whether we had paid. He assumed we hadn’t purchased a bucket and said, rudely, “You can’t play here unless you’re a member.” I politely explained that we were just practicing and that the posted rules clearly state th…
