In summary

Trinity Forest Golf Club is frequently praised for its unique links-style layout, excellent course conditions, and professional staff, offering a distinct golfing experience in Texas. The club is noted for its challenging play, particularly due to the wind and nuanced greens, and is a popular venue for events like the Byron Nelson. However, some visitors criticize the lack of shade and trees, which can make for a hot experience, and there are concerns about the course's location and infrastructure, as well as mixed opinions on the caddie service.

Just an unbelievable place! Such a unique and fun golf course. Amazing for practice facility… And super fun part three course! Also an exceptional director of golf!

A totally different golf experience than you'll get anywhere in Texas, or possibly America. True links style. The caddies are marvelous and worth every penny and more. Invaluable too as going around the course without some preexisting course knowledge breaches the realm of the impossible. Hole 14 is what I'd call the signature hole, offering a delicate tee shot, and blind approach shot, a green who's read borders on insanity (there's a black hole buried in the lake to the back right, no matter what you see, the ball is going there), and panoramic views of the entire course. The main defense i…

Got to play as part of a special event. If I didn't know better I woukd have thought we were in Scotland. Crazy this was a landfill back in the day. Great pro shop with lots of clothes too.

Course was awesome . My caddie was less than stellar. Wade Griffin should not be caddying. He knows nothing about golf and is honestly kind of rude. I think he is more suited to picking up the balls on the range by himself. I will be back for the course not the caddy.

Either it's dusty or muddy. Nice links course but lack of trees within the course makes for a hot day.

I played in the Dallas Amateur Championship, and had a great time. The course is in tourney condition. Unbelievably, I lost by ONE STROKE to a guy that does not post his rounds on GHIN. I POST EVERY ROUND.

4.7 stars. Very nice course. Love the rare links style setup. Helpful and professional staff. Still needs more shade options and eventually a 4 to 5 star hotel(s) adjacent or nearby. Great start though!

Allowed this wasted pile of money to be built in an area that needs funds for infrastructure repair and other community improvement programs. If you knew your Dallas history these owners should have known from failed Sleepy Hollow golf club that this would not work on this side of town. Then they built a stoplight on a busy highway to accomedate this place that stops down 100s of cars a day just so one or two golfers can leave.

For a PGA tour event, the walking paths were super muddy. We were having record rain at the time. The course looked in perfect shape. Parking was off site and took 30 mins each way. It was fun to check out.

Came here for the Byron Nelson Open. Links style course. Great event, but the downside with links play is that there are no trees to get shade. I haven’t played at this course, but as a spectator I just had the best time ever.

Any one who has ever played a real links course knows this course is no such thing. The bunkers do not remotely represent classic links courses, nor does the off fairway rough. The rough here is more like a random mix of backyard weeds you'd expect to see in a purely maintained residential property. Played here at a friend’s request, but to be honest I’d never want to apply for a membership here. If you want true links style golf go to Oregon or the UK. There you can play true links style golf courses. And what fool would remove all the trees from a central Texas golf course they know will be…
