In summary

Triggs Memorial Golf Course is widely praised for its well-maintained grounds, challenging layout, and friendly atmosphere, making it a popular choice for both locals and visitors. The course features interesting elevation changes and a variety of obstacles, contributing to its reputation as a must-play destination in Rhode Island. While the staff is generally regarded as welcoming, there are occasional reports of inconsistent customer service and slow pace of play, and some visitors have noted issues with mosquitoes and course signage.

Great pristine condition for mid Nov. Layout is tight for most of the holes and the tee boxes and greens are some what of right next to each other. Surprisingly there’s some elevation but not dramatic with some unlevel tee boxes and places on the fairway which makes the course interestingly challenging.

We played on a near perfect weather day in October. From the initial sign in to staff encounters as we got our clubs loaded on the cart to pairing up with some members to play, it was an exceptional experience. Course was in teriffic shape. Obviously well managed, well maintained and cared for. I agree with the New England Golf Guide that it is a "Must Play" in Rhode Island. We drove an hour plus to get there but definitely worth the ride. Highest recommendations! PJS

Great public course. Friendly staff with good food. Be sure to go on Wednesdays during the month of August for "Wacky Wednesdays", 20% of your round with a food coupon for lunch. Just paid $44 for 18 holes with a cart and $5 off my lunch. Can't beat it. Enjoy and hit em straight!

I really enjoyed the overall experience of this course. My wife and I only played the front 9, but we found it quite comfortable. The course offers a nice balance of challenging holes without being too difficult. The grounds were beautifully maintained and very clean, with a good variety of obstacles to keep things interesting. I was pleased to see many young players on the course, all of whom were respectful and well-mannered. The Marshall briefly stopped by, and he was friendly both on the course and in the pro shop. The only downside was the mosquitoes, which were a bit overwhelming. My wi…

Went here for the first time this past week with a friend. They don't allow singles so no other choice. Enjoyed the course (I did find it odd none of the back nine holes were marked). Was very confused with pricing. $50 for 18 holes (no discount for seniors). Was originally charged $22 each for 2 carts. When we checked in we were given 1 cart(for 2 people reasonable). We were charged $34 for 1 cart. So by downgrading to 1 cart we got charged $12 more. Interesting math. Not sure how that works out. I'll just chalk it up to a learning experience.

What a transformation. Course is in great shape. Major improvements (traps- turf added around greens) have occurred. Its playing well. Still not the fastest rounds. You just have to accept that.

It is a great place to play golf, very beautiful golf course and they open for a long time. We have been there for so many times in different seasons. Love it.

The course is in great shape. It is challenging but fair. Some devious Donald Ross greens and pin placements will test your short game. My one issue is the huge difference between the men's tees and senior tees. 6320 and 5500. One is too long for me, the other too short. A combo tee is needed.

I’m proud to be a member of Triggs. The Triggs experience is nostalgic given the history dating back to Sam Snead! Karl and his team have done an amazing job of improving the wonderful condition of the course making it a world class experience! It’s amazing how a municipal course can get so much play and still hold its beauty and great condition! It’s truly a fun but yet challenging course and it’s complimented by its welcoming clubhouse! The delicious food and jubilant environment adds to the magic of The overall experience. It’s fun being a member at Triggs while experiencing a world class…

Grew up playing this course since 1987. It never gets old. Shot my best score here 80 from Triggs' blue -- no double bogeys with 2 sand par saves.
