In summary

The Sanctuary Golf Club is frequently praised for its excellent course conditions, including well-maintained greens and fairways, and a beautiful layout that many find worth the drive. The staff is often described as professional and courteous, contributing to a positive experience. However, some visitors have noted issues such as slow pace of play, lack of a driving range, and occasional dissatisfaction with pricing. The club is set to close at the end of October 2023, which has saddened many patrons who have enjoyed playing there over the years.

Large greens. Greens rolled true and in very good condition. Fairways and tee boxes were great. Rough was very playable. Staff was professional, courteous , and on top of everything. First time playing, neat design. Score-able course. Look to be back soon! Sunday round took over 6 hours, so packed there were no carts left... it was a beautiful day... have to expect long weekend rounds.

This is one of my favorite golf courses we play on our traveling golf league (CIGL). On top of the great golf, you can't beat the burgers for lunch, either at the turn or after your round. I was sad to learn that after this year, they will be closing due to newer ownership selling out to builders to turn it into "another" new housing development. Sad to know, yet another course, and one of the best courses in NEO closing to be turned into more housing. I don't think it was from a lack of play, as they sure always were busy when we play there. This was the one course I always told my team capta…

Course conditions were fantastic, greens had subtle undulations requiring good putting reads and concentration ... Worth the drive to play this course from Northern Ohio to play

Long and challanging but not impossible to score well. Greens were faster than expected and despite the weather (lots of rain earlier in the day) the course was in really good shape. Best pace of play I've seen during the afternoon anywhere

Great shape on 4/13. Greens roll true and fairways are pristine. Staff is second to none in Stark County. Highly recommend

Beautiful course, wonderful staff and a great bunch of people. I'll be coming back again soon. The tiny covered bridge was great too.

Great course, large flat tees, large receptive greens and green fairways! Raked sand traps! Was a pleasure to play!

Beautiful course and layout. In excellent condition. It is sad though that we are losing another golf "sanctuary" at year's end. Too many courses are closing these days for this weekend golfer. It has been a pleasure playing this course over my golfing years. Best wishes to the owners and thank you!!

Friendly staff. Good design but not great. Fairways and greens seem to be in good condition and we enjoyed the round. We played on a weekday and the pace of play was pretty good coming in at a little over 4 hours. Biggest drawback is they do not have a driving range.

Beautiful course. Great conditions. Tee times behind about 45+ minutes. 10 minute wait time to tee off at each hole. It was really nice though. We'll go back. Hopefully won't be as slow.

So sad this course is closing. One of my favorite local courses. It was always in great shape and the greens rolled fantastic. Another local course gone 😔. So sad to hear. Definitely going to try and get there before October for one last round.

Might have gotten five stars if it weren't for the aerated greens. Might have gotten 5 stars if we had been warned about them and didn't have to discover this fact after we got there. They said it had been more than a week, but still couldn't get a true roll outside of a foot or two. Great layout, just frustrating once it was time to putt.
