What People Say

In summary

The Ravens Nest Golf Club is frequently praised for its affordability, challenging layout, and well-maintained greens, with many appreciating the friendly staff and practice facilities. However, some visitors have noted issues such as inconsistent course conditions, slow pace of play, and occasional customer service challenges. Despite these concerns, the overall sentiment is positive, with many golfers finding it a worthwhile experience given the price.

Course was in good shape. Greens were quick. Would recommend coming early as it gets crowded mid-morning. Great practice facilities! Green fees are extremely fair! We tee’d off at 740a and were able to play at a leisurely pace and weren’t pushed at all, nor did we run up on any other groups. Definitely coming back!

Decent layout, fun and cheap. They were aerating but rest of course wasn’t too bad. First time here and will come back for the price and once everything settles.

Course and Atmosphere is nice! My only complaint is the website shows 6 packs of domestic beers are $12 but when you go to the 19th hole or the cart girl sells them to you it’s $22. Not sure why the website isn’t updated but that’s not good advertising.

The course is a decent track, the tee boxes are quite firm. Stay in the fairway and you'll be fine, get in the rough and you should plan on dropping.

Course is in great shape but it’s with a heavy heart I have to give this review. I have played competitive golf for 12 plus years now just for fun. I’ve never experienced what I experienced memorial Day Weekend on Saturday. Arrived to course and saw someone peeing in the parking lot facing the parking lot with no care. Had the unfortunate time being stuck behind a group of 7/8 all playing a scramble hitting multiple shots off the tee and from the fairway. After one shot from my group hit into them. They took the ball and through it in the trees. Started leaving pins out so we didn’t know where…

My husband and sons love golfing here! The staff is very nice and the greens are kept very well. Prices are very good!

Greens are in great shape! As is most of the course. There are just a few holes that have something uprooting the grass but it's not as large as wild hogs. Love the elevations. Other than that, it's well worth the trip.

Great course to play. Hosted a high school girls golf tournament.

One of the few grass/sod driving ranges in the area. We drive 45 minutes and it is worth the drive. A little pricey for a large bucket, but hitting off the turf enables true, realistic shots to be practiced.

Raven Nest is the best value in Texas in my opinion. This track is challenging while remaining playable for anyone. Sometimes conditions get a little rough, but for what you pay it doesn’t bother me. Love this place!

This is a pretty great course for the money. It is the cheapest course around and you get what you pay for. If you dont expect Augusta and understand what you are paying for, you will really enjoy this course. It is moderately difficult and in good shape. I will definitely be playing here again.

Good value. Course was in pretty good condition but range was closed so we couldn't warm up. Needed a Marshall out on course to enforce pace of play though. Will play again
