The Kings Arrow Ranch

Host of the annual Gulf Wars event for the Society for Creative Anachronism, this site includes permanent structures, like the Green Dragon Inn, as well as plenty of camping space and large pavilions. Some areas have shade trees while others have open fields as well as a small, picturesque lake.

Home for the SCA Gulf War event! The owners and staff bend over backwards to help make this place feel like home for at least one week a year.

New roofs all the way around! Great improvement over the last few years! Great staff very welcoming to all the guests. Relaxing around the fire ring was really good for renewal of the mind and spirit. Great get away!

SCA Gulf wars was held there in mid March. Cool camping & event environment. Plenty of space, not far from a town with stores for supplies. Roads around the place are dirt & kinda bumpy, but that's to be expected. Nice little store & quick food place in the main ranch house, as well as various seating & some window unit air conditioners to rest by if you get over heated outside. They have a few more site improvements planned as well. Overall very good experience.

We have a Men's Spiritual Retreat here every year. It suits our goals.

It is a wonderful medieval event site!!! I had so much fun there for Gulf wars 2024!!!

How many places can you find for 4000 people to camp together? Love this place! Just come prepared for Fire Ants!

Campground for the SCAs "Gulf Wars". Lots of open space and facilities for a large number of people. Happens annually. Lots of fun!

We have a huge annual event here. The new owners have worked hard to improve the property and it shows! I'm looking forward to the completion of further work.

Kings Arrow Ranch was recently bought by a local realtor before members of the Society for Creative Anachronism, from Arkansas to Florida, were able to put a bid together. In truth, the buyer had closed the deal just hours after it went on market. We use a section of this land for a gala, "Gulf Wars," encampment every year, and were concerned we would even be able to use the location. We have been going to Gulf Wars 1 until now. It is always a pleasure to visit.
