In summary

The Dunes Golf & Beach Club is highly praised for its immaculate course conditions, challenging layout, and fast, true greens. Visitors appreciate the friendly and attentive staff, as well as the well-maintained amenities and picturesque setting. While the course generally offers a memorable experience, some guests noted that the pace of play can be affected by restrictions like cart path-only rules, and a few found the front nine less engaging than the back.

Can't say enough about this place! From The moment you go through the entrance The hospitality from the staffing and members were spectacular! needless to say, the core speaks for itself now that it is an annual PGA event! The the greens were rolling fast impressively considering there had been significant amount of rain the previous few days. Holes 11-13 were an absolute treat, especially 13, which is certainly one of my favorite risk reward par fives I've ever played. Can't Wait to come back in the warmer months and repeat! Anyone who gets an invite don't miss it

Such an awesome 18. It’s a challenging course; but, fair. Seems like every hole played into the wind- so, club up. And, the greens - race track fast. Easily added 5-6 strokes due to putting woes and fast greens. Service is top notch and tho’ it’s a private course, they treat guest like members. Great job Dunes Club. Until the next time— 🍻

I was fortunate to be invited back to The Dunes Golf and Beach Club, and it reminded me just how timeless and special this course is. I played it years ago, but coming back now, I was struck by how well it has held up. Classic, intentional, and incredibly refined. Every hole is clearly defined by bunkering and mature tree lines, creating straightforward tee shots that reward good positioning. In my opinion, this is a true second-shot golf course. The green complexes are large, multi-tiered, and demanding in the best way. The greens were firm and rolled fast and true, as good as any I’ve ever…

Amazing golf course and staff. They know how to treat people and you’ll notice as soon as you pull up to bag drop. The course was in great shape and the greens rolled true and were fast which is what I truly prefer. I’ve played at tons of different courses and this is one of my favorites. First time in Myrtle Beach but already looking forward to coming back to play here again!

To be honest, the front nine (outward nine) was quite underwhelming. At times, I felt more like a birdwatcher than a golfer — the amount of bird activity was distracting and broke the flow of the round. The routing and visual intrigue simply didn't meet the expectations one might have for a course of this reputation. However, everything changed starting from the 13th hole. The inward stretch builds in character and challenge, and from that point on, the course began to show its true personality. There's a noticeable shift in design intent and landscape engagement, particularly on the finishin…

Course was in fantastic condition. Greens were lightning fast, which is great. Would have rated 4.5 stars because couldn't take carts in the fairway due to over-seeding, which wasn't really a problem except it slowed down our play and was tough on some of our "senior" players, adding a bit of walking. A few members were not very friendly on the course (probably because of the aforementioned slow down in play). Still a great course I would highly recommend playing.

This course is really cool! I wish I could play this course in the spring when everything is grown in and bright green. But, even in the middle of the winter the course is still in fantastic shape, and looks impeccable. But, this course has a classic design, and is a great Myrtle Beach course. The greens are amazing, and roll very well and at a respectable pace. If you are in the area and looking for an amazing course to play, I would highly recommend playing the Dunes Golf and Beach Club.

A true players course that is challenging and impeccably maintained. Staff is over and a I've friendly. Pro shop is well stocked and clean. All in all worth the price to play.

It lives up to its reputation. Nice RTJ design. Lots of deep bunkering. Sticky, rye grass rough off the fairways and greens. Greens were dormant bermuda (I think). Very true and fast.

Excellent and a must play. The staff was superb. Cart path only for overseeing, but greens were incredibly fast, true, and perfect. The staff took excellent care of us from start to finish. Mr. Dennis, Mr. Hood, Mr Young and our new found Army National guard staff buddy (sorry for leaving your name out SIR) took care of my Veterans group after our round on Wednesday. THANK YOU FOR A GREAT EXPERIENCE.

Loved golfing here! First of all, we knew it would be great because it is a Robert Trent Jones Trail course and they never let you down. The scenery was wonderful, the golf was challenging, and the people were amazing. Had a group and 16 and everyone was thoroughly impressed with the facilities.
